Matt Ryan on ESPN - Radical - 07-16-2011 04:47 PM Ed Werder of ESPN interviews Matt Ryan and asks him about his thoughts on the off-season so far. Topics covered included looking back on the 2010 season, acquiring Julio Jones, if he feels pressure with his acquisition, how Jones compares to White, and how he fits in with the offense. RE: Matt Ryan on ESPN - phocis850 - 07-16-2011 09:48 PM Guy knows how to answer questions correctly. Just shows how level headed and intelligent he is. RE: Matt Ryan on ESPN - Drathdon - 07-16-2011 10:01 PM He's always a great interview. Which means, after watching him for years, he's a boring interview. I mean that in the best way possible, as I'd rather have boring and level-headed positivity than reactionary emotion. RE: Matt Ryan on ESPN - monoxide - 07-17-2011 01:35 AM If Tony Romo has a better statistical season then Matt Ryan, I'll give up BOTH of my kidneys. To add on to that, if Vick has a better statistical season than Brees, Brady, AND Manning, you can have the rest of the organs. This is why I hate fantasy football, it's a complete fucking joke and an insult to players like Matty Ice. RE: Matt Ryan on ESPN - phalcon phil - 07-17-2011 11:50 AM So according to matt our receiving corps consists of white, jones, jenkins, douglas and gonzo. What I'm wondering is, who is the last receiver standing? meier? weems? I don't understand how fantasy football hurts the game or insults good players like ryan at all. It makes it 100 times more enjoyable to me. It's not hard to keep things in perspective when looking at fantasy rankings vs stat rankings, and as long as you can do that I don't see the problem. It's not an insult to Matt Ryan that he doesn't put up gaudy fantasy points. Hence the word fantasy, because i damn sure wouldnt take matt schaub or tony romo over him in the real world. Just keep it in all in perspective. Great interview, i love the fact that you can tell that not winning last year really lit a fire. You saw it from the front office in the Jones trade too. This is a hungry team, lets hope it all translates into success on the field. While the suckers are blowing their fourth round picks on the likes of Romo and Big Ben, I'll be taking Ryan - the 7th highest scoring fantasy QB last season behind only Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Vick, Rivers and Brees - at his current ADP in the ninth. Hopefully, that ADP holds until late August. Ryan already has the TDs. All he needs is some YAC from his receivers to reach elite status. With the recent addition of Julio and Quizz as well as the return of a fully recovered HD, I can't see any reason why that won't happen this year. Get him cheap while you still can. RE: Matt Ryan on ESPN - Drathdon - 07-18-2011 04:55 PM Put money on the league. Everything is interesting with money on the line. ![]() And no, I don't have a gambling problem, haha. I just love to take money from my friends and gloat about it! |
