Any Chance for Asomugha? - TomBradyMVP12 - 05-21-2011 07:10 PM

Think we can get him? He's the true shutdown corner we need to get the team over the hump. If we get Asomugha and Ray Edwards from Minnesota or maybe Charles Johnson we can be legit on defense.

So, your saying there's a chance!!

He's almost 30, and we just invested in a CB. How bout we go for a DE who is younger who will give us more than 4 years of service?

Aso will get vastly overpaid by a team in desperate need for a corner, which will take us out of the bidding. Look for a team like Pittsburgh to look hard and long at Aso. I can see Aso either in PIT or TB.

No chance

CB is not our position of greatest need.
We need a DE first and a replacement for Brian Williams.

I see it as highly unlikely, and never really was likely. If we go for a major FA player, it's going to be Ray Edwards or Charles Johnson. I'm hoping for Charles Johnson, even though it's less likely than Edwards.

That would be a Crushing Defense.
Our Nickle package would be Insane!

Our front 4 would have legitimate depth, and if our
defense did not finish in the top 5, then that
would be on BVG.

If we don't get a CB and one of our CB's go down with an injury, who will replace them?? We need someone who can play both corner and nickel. You saw what happened in the Greenbay game when we had an injury. I think it's every bit as important as a DE if not more.

I still have faith in Biermann. And I wouldn't be surprised if Sidbury came out of nowhere and lit it up too. But I think CB is our greatest need on defense. Not only don't we have a bonafide nickel, but we're thin at backup CB on the outside.
