I think it has more to do with the fact that cornerbacks drafted after the 1st round rarely come in and make an immediate impact, if they even make an impact at all.
I don't think it's coincidental that only three out of the ten CBs selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl were drafted after the 1st round. Of those - Samuel, Grimes and Tramon Williams - none became Pro Bowlers until their 5th season.
Anyone looking for a Nnamdi, Champ, Revis, Woodson or Winfield to come in and be successful right away better have a high draft pick. Anyone looking to deem a 3rd to 5th round CB a bust after one or two seasons simply doesn't know very much about football, has an agenda or both.

well we have some players saying he was out there, the sports writer for the local paper (as pathetic as it is) saying he was out there, and according to a poster on a message board, some players saying he wasn't out there.
i would say i'd trust what Ryan says, and think that just maybe julio stopped by, tossed a ball or two back and forth, being that he is healing from surgery, and not supposed to be running, and not under contract, didn't hang around very long. a few more guys come meandering in after he leaves, and then say, 'haven't seen him'...
did that happen? i don't know.... COULD IT BE THAT WAY absolutely could. nothing against sportfreak at all, maybe she needs to just ask Matt and get back to us. As for Franks being lazy, and TD not being able to pick up secondary players, Moore, DeCoud and while not outstanding, and not what we'd all hoped to be, DRob had a solid season last year after getting over the TC injury....

You know damn well that Matt Ryan, Ledbetter, Schultz, Dave Archer, and whoever else has put something in print about this (not to mention the radio interviews where Matt said the same thing) are not "LIEING".
SportsFreak herself admitted that the 5 players she spoke to simply didn't see Julio there but that doesn't mean he hasn't been meeting with Matty and JPW throwing and going over the playbook before or after everyone else was there or gone. Hell, Julio himself even admitted that he was living with JPW for a while until he either found a place of his own or the lockout ended and he could move into the rookie dorms in FB.
You yourself even said in previous posts that you're not comfortable with him participating without having a contract. Not to mention, he's not been given the OK to do anything by the doctors until after this weekend (or is it next weekend even).
It's not some idiotic conspiracy to "plant a story" and you fucking know it. This is why you should be removed from this place. Your agenda driven mud slinging has no business here and ruins good threads.

That is correct I dont want him running or doing any physical activity but that doesnt mean he shouldnt be out there with the team seeing them practice and see how Ryan runs the offense .
Not doing a DRIVE BY ...Julio Jones showed up shook hands with Matt Ryan and JPW and snuck out the back door before other teammates can meet and greet our new draft pick ..

You don't know what the hell Robinson has been doing so don't conclude that because he is not there that it is not for good reason... Stop pushing you agenda, stick to facts you can verify rather than this he say she say stuff. Seriously your desire to throw our players and this franchise under the bus is remarkable I bet the Petrino/Vick years were like mana from heaven for you.
Coop: What I meant was our guys seem to be leaving us before they even get to that point. It seems like we are willing to let them go before they get to year 5 in many instances or that they won't get to year 5 with us. I'm not advocating giving these guys the chops. I find it difficult to understand though as our safeties have developed very well thus far in comparison to our CBs.
