Cool, I was right (from PFT)

William Moore’s arrest arose from unpaid speeding ticket

We’ve done some digging regarding Tuesday’s arrest of Falcons starting safety William Moore on charges of speeding, driving with a suspended license, and failure to appear.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Moore had a previous speeding ticket that had not properly been resolved. That resulted in the failure to appear in court and the suspension of his license. The situation was discovered when he was pulled over Tuesday for speeding, after leaving a workout facility.

According to the source, Moore resolved a speeding ticket several months ago, not realizing at the time that there was a second unresolved ticket. He never paid the other ticket, setting in motion the chain of events that put him behind bars for more than seven hours on Tuesday.

Look for the situation to be cleared up quickly, with no conviction or guilty plea.

Courts across the country have issues getting proper notice to people who have their licenses suspended. I had mine suspended a few years ago because the court never got my traffic school completion notice, and thus deemed my ticket underpaid and unresolved. I only found out because I have access to the sheriffs database and randomly checked myself. The written notice of suspension never got to my house.

Hardly blameworthy on Moore's part.

well he doesnt need to be speeding either...I understand everyone speeds and shit but to have a couple of offenses of speeding he needs to take it easy on the roads he is big part of our defense

What's sad is, if William Moore looked like Sam Bradford, he wouldn't even got close to going to jail, let alone sit in there for 7 hours.

I got a reckless driving in my 20s and spent like an hour in the holding cell. I sat next to a dude who had been in there for 12 hours for a busted taillight and they booked him because he didn't look enough like his Driver license picture. He had been diagnosed with Diabetes, and decided to lose a bunch of weight.

Georgia Cops suck.

Let the guy speed. Who knows, maybe he was going like 4 MPH over. Maybe the cop just saw a black guy driving a nice car and pulled him over. Maybe they just dropped the speed limit. Maybe the limit is way too low for the road, and flow of traffic goes 15 over all day long. Maybe the cop pegged someone else with the radar.

Of course, I speed all the damn time, so maybe I'm biased.

lol he was racial profiled .. I dont know how it is down south but cops to hit you with a speeding ticket up north you have to be atleast doing 15mph over

They don't usually pull people over unless they are driving faster, because fines for, say, 5 MPH over, is so small it's usually not worth it to pull someone over. However, they can legally stop you for going 1 MPH over.

Sounds good to me Smile
