This is an example of a signature that I think is too large. Can you make it about half that heighth? Much appreciated.

We just want to avoid signatures that overwhelm the conversation.

Remember, Vick's production in Atlanta dropped after defenses started containing him in the pocket and making him beat them with his arm instead of chasing him all over the field. Last week, Green Bay's gameplan was to force Kolb, a less mobile quarterback, out of the pocket and make him uncomfortable, which played right into Vick's hand. Next week, the defense will be geared much more towards stopping Vick's style instead of beating Kolb, and I think some of his production will taper off then.

I have to agree with the Panthers fan. Vick hasn't progressed his game enough for defenses to fear his passing. He still carries the ball like a loaf of bread when he runs, which usually means the fumbling will start again.

Kolb will probably be out this game because of the concussion. He can't even practice until Friday. The good practice days are Wed and Thur so he will be behind in the gameplan.

If this was a veteran like Brady or Manning then he would probably play, but Kolb is still young and raw. He needs a full week of practice. Given that, if Vick plays well again, then there may be a problem in the locker room. It's already a problem with the fans. And the worst thing about it is that they play Detroit. Detroit is better but they aren't better than the Packers defense.

vick is going to destroy the lions

Yeah but if we lost that game with him starting, I can't even fathom how much that would suck. Don't even want to think about it.

If he starts that game, it's a must win for the Falcons, psychologically speaking, for the fan base.

i remember reading last year that smitty wasn't happy with the way andy reid used vick to run up the score last year and that the falcons are definitely going into that game with a chip on their shoulder.

actually kolb is best known for throwing better outside of the pocket

Bottom line, Kolb isn't known for anything. If you can force inexperienced quarterbacks, and Kolb still qualifies as being inexperienced, into a less than ideal situation, the pressure adds up quickly. Hit him, chase him, whatever you can do to make his life a little harder. He may have that skill, but he hasn't proven it or had a lot of time to practice it. He was getting blitzed quite a bit, some of which can be attributed to the nature of Green Bay's defense, but was also an effort to rattle a young quarterback.

I agree that he was blitzed often to rattle him, but they weren't blitzing him to get him out of the pocket.

Look at the plays, they were blitzing him from the outside in. The blitzes were designed to keep him in the pocket. Inexperienced quarterbacks are notorious for not knowing how to step up in the pocket and make a throw. The Packers also have strong DT's that can push the pocket backwards. Kolb is one of the more athletic Qb's so to get him outside is a bad idea even if he can't throw it out of the pocket, he sure does know how to run.

It's always fun watching Vick play if you can get over him screwing the Falcons over. He played like the Vick of old on Sunday, and almost pulled out a victory. Listening on the radio and this Philly guy was saying he didn't like Vick's game as a QB, same stuff as he got here,it's not a winnable formula over a 16 game season. Still it's an NFC team so hopefully the rest of the conference goes 8-8 while the Falcons go 15-1 LOL.

Kolb did not look so great. He had like 0 yards before being concussed. McNabb might make Andy and the iggles sorry for trading him in-division.

Reid definitely probably thinks of Vick as a saftey valve, and it looks like he is back in form, but a QB controversy is not going to help the eagles get where they want to go.

RE: The eagles fans want Vick, their funeral - JKH5785 - 09-15-2010 02:09 PM

The team was on another level on both sides of the ball when Vick came in.

The Eagles have always played like they need that one spark during the game, and then they are balls out, think back to when things would be so so and then McNabb or Westbrook would make a huge play - then it would be on!

To me, that type of play is in their DNA, that's why guy like Dawkins made such a huge impact on their D. Once he would create that spark, the Eagles D would ignite!

well...Vick is like a lighter in terms of giving a spark! Especially looking like the Vick ATL redux.

They could end up being a very dangerous team, and if the players are behind Vick and not Kolb, the choice might not be made by Ried. I have a feeling that after what I saw Sunday, a lot of them already are!

So even Vick fans his way to a Falcons MB that didn't exsist when he played for them.

Vick discussions are like the mob.
Just when you think you get away, they suck you back into them.
