Great Game, Learned Alot - Knight of God - 09-20-2010 12:57 PM Man that was an awesome game and a wake up call for me in many ways. I'm just loving Snelling, Weatherspoon, and Moore right now and Owens just needs to start. Some things that I'm still harping on though... We beat a good team with an average QB. We still got sliced by a home"run" as well. That DT issue is real guys. Very real. When that type of thing happens its because all front seven were blocked and no one took more than one block. We need a big nasty in the middle. We just don't have one. All of our guys are clones in the talent circle. We need to get Snelling some help back there. A scatback or just a back-up. SOMETING!!! I like Douglas at #2 and didn't think it would happen, but it was a great combo and against a defensive secondary that was better than Pitt's!!! RE: Great Game, Learned Alot - Dirtybird404 - 09-20-2010 01:06 PM Noore? RE: Great Game, Learned Alot - phocis850 - 09-20-2010 01:06 PM - Snelling was are 3rd back in there. Our #4 was inactive for the game. - Babs is back, you could tell it helped. - I like the cloning of the DT's. They stay fresh and come through late in the game. - Douglas in the slot is optimal. Jenkins is a good #2 (when he catches). - Grimes > Owens still. RE: Great Game, Learned Alot - Tandy - 09-20-2010 01:09 PM If he hadn't been inactive - I think we would have seen Smith in the game. Staying fresh could not stop that 80yd gash though. Last week it was about 50yds. Need a beasty. Jenkins is not better than Douglas man. If you want Jenkins to block, he can block from the slot...like the TE he plays like. Owens >Grimes RE: Great Game, Learned Alot - Dirtybird404 - 09-20-2010 01:10 PM I was completely wasted at the game I jus know Snelling got a TD and white also. Moore got a pick and so did franks which almost went back for a pick 6 RE: Great Game, Learned Alot - Knight of God - 09-20-2010 01:11 PM (09-20-2010 01:09 PM)Tandy Wrote: If he hadn't been inactive - I think we would have seen Smith in the game. The gash wasnt due to the line it was an edge run the sealed Moore out good and blocked down on the LB. But from replays I have no clue where the rest of the secondary was. RE: Great Game, Learned Alot - Dr. Billings - 09-20-2010 01:23 PM [/php]Our DT's are solid. The rotatoin will pay dividends later in the year. On that touchdown play Lofton and Moore was out of position. We will correct the problem. I want to see how we do against a good qb next week. Jenkins should be back and we can spread their defense thin as they attempt to spread us as well. |
