I don't know Jayhawk. There are plenty of guys that we could either draft or bring up(Meier) to fill the role of slot receiver if Douglas doesn't pan out. I would like us to draft Murray for the RB position. Turner has been incredibly overworked and we need someone who could basically split the carries. I'm telling you guys. Murray is going to be an absolute stud. Wait till his combine workouts and his pro day. Dude is going to shoot up the draft boards.

Murray has had two injuries that have kept him out of action for longer than a game that I know of. Which were the dislocated knee cap and a torn hamstring that required surgery. Could someone clarify what "injury prone" means?

I didn't read past this post where you asked the question again. It's a subjective topic. But to me, you can't label a player that until he's made the team and roster. Then when injuries continue to keep him off the field, ala Norwood, it becomes somewhat fair to label them "injury prone". JMO. Angel

So what do you think Kib...Should we go after Murray?

There's not much to NOT like in that highlight video. I try to keep it in perspective that it's college. And it's a highlight video. Don't know much about him other than your introduction here. I do like the fact that it showed him catching a couple passes. We def need that speed back w/good hands role, back in the lineup. And I like the idea of drafting the RB position, young and hungry. (as opposed to going FA market)

That said... I felt like our Falcons had a lot of holes that were exposed in the playoff game loss, and in some of our other tight wins this past year. Hard for me to say which is the greatest need. Undecided I'll just say I don't think I'd bitch and moan if it looked like they were trying to get him on the roster.

I seem to remember another "injury prone" OU running back that turned out decent.

I just am not sold on his size. I think this is the perfect time to draft for a potential replacement for Turner in the future. Let's face it, if Turner goes down, our already "boring" offense will not get any better. We need someone who can shoulder the load of an every down back. There are probably only a handful of RB's to EVER play as an every down back with his size. Warrick Dunn is the most recent one I can think of that has had success. You look at guys like AP, CJ2K, even Darren McFadden, they are all around the 5'11-6'1 mold. They (McFadden showed skill this past season) are every down backs with size, speed, and good hands. The big difference between those teams and the Falcons is that the Falcons actually have the talent at QB and other positions to REALLY open up the field with a dual threat RB.

I have no idea how Murray has stayed under the radar or buzz talk after watching more of his videos. This guy is ridiculously athletic & to me looks like the hidden goldmine of the draft.

I'll be honest though, if we can do any 2-pick combination of Hankerson/Cobb/Kerley, & Murray/Locke/Hunter at this point, I'll be beyond happy. And if we can toss one of the 3 TE's somewhere in there, Rudolph, Kendricks, or Stocker, I'll be doing backflips in my livingroom.

I'll spot you on those backflips.
