His Hamstring injury was off an opening kick off return in the Big 12 championship game.(He would never return kicks for us because we have Weems). His dislocated kneecap was way back in '07 and hasn't had any issues with it since. Played the entire 2009 and 2010 campaign injury free. I think he would do wonders for us at RB.

If that's the case then I agree bigtime. I thought the kneecap was more recent & the hamstring caused him to miss his last game as a junior & his entire spring before his senior season. But I guess that doesn't really matter since he obviously still played incredible even with missing spring training.

I'm sold. That kid is a freak.

His Kneecap caused him to miss the last game and spring practice. His hamstring was surgically repaired and he was ready to go for the next season. He has been healthy since his Junior year though, my report that I read on him is accurate.

Murray looks super fast, but it seems he's straightline fast, instead of shifty. If feel like we need a shifty guy, to bounce it to where there's a hole.

That said, I'd be ok with any added explosiveness at RB. Just typically, short area quickness and two step burst really define how dangerous a RB is.

Hunter has great cut back ability, and he is very explosive on his first steps. However, if not for some seriously poor tackling, alot of runs on that clip would not be that great. He also received alot of great downfield blocking. I don't know. Maybe i'll just shut up and let the Falcons Organization do the drafting lol

I like Murray Hart, but I just wanted to point out that sometimes our opinions cloud judgement. Given the above bolded stament regarding Hunter, Ii would play Devil's advocate and point out that all but one of Murray's highlights in the first vid are against, Baylor, Texas A&M, Tulsa (Twice), Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, North Texas, Iowa State, and Nebraska...

Still I wouldn't be upset with a Murray pick, he has play-making capabillity.

Big Grin

One thing that I will say in his defense, I don't know what the hell Kevin Wilson was smoking when they were giving more carries to Chris Brown when he split carries with Murray. But yeah busting through the North Texas "Defense" doesn't do as much for me.

I was making fun of you harvey - not HART here.

Laughin' at ya, bra........all in good fun of course. 8 teams is more than acceptable enough - teams don't play the TCU defense every week.Shy

It's easy to do....

Tongue

And to your point, teams don't play the TCU defense every week and it's hard to extrapolate success at the college level to the pro level for that amongst other reasons.

I really only brought it up because of HART's critique of Hunter for similar reasons, attempting to point out that gut feeling is just a much of the equation in deciding if we like one player or another.

Of course you, beef, and spork's draftnik stuff has been good reading as well for players I don't follow, and I appreciate all of that BTW.

I guess this is why we are fans huh? lol. Just alot of wishing and hoping, etc. I just don't like Kendall Hunter's size. I know there are backs who are small who have had successful careers, but if we are looking for a potential replacement back for the future, Murray would seem to have the upper hand because of his size. I will be happy if we just get a RB that can catch out of the backfield and make plays Smile

reading his profile, i didn't know he played basketball. With his frame do you think we could pull a Chiefs (Dex McCluster) and convert him into a Wide-out?

Honestly looking at his physical build, 6-1, quick, good YAC ability. Maybe make him the slot if Douglas still can't span out for us.

Chiefs offense was actually not terrible having mccluster in the offense. gave another homerun option.

Just a thought, don't know if anyone wants to give their input. *Shrug*
