The defense is passable, but schemes can only cover up so much. Talent and toughness upgrades are needed. The Falcons have to improve along the offensive line, too.

I can honestly see us missing out on playoffs next year ..its not crazy to think we go 9-7 ..
we were healthy this year..and who is to say that for next year..Plus other teams in league will be better ( we could get better) but we also have to figure in parity and league is up and down ..

NFC WEST ..winner
Cowboys .......??
Eagles..???
Giants .......think they will make a run this year
Saints ............... they will still be strong
Packers...........will be healthy
Vikings........need a QB but got talent around.
Falcons.... can they stay as healthy and repeat success last year and get more explosive
Bucs...will they build off this year , got a young team

Our schedule next season will be much tougher. We have to play the NFC North and AFC South. Tampa Bay is looking really dangerous, and there's the Saints. Winning the division again will be more difficult than it was this season.

It's all kind of dumb really. Not a single team has their 2011 roster even close to being set so I don't think I'll put too much stock in any predictions at this point.

I mean....of course the Falcons could miss the playoffs next year. The Packers very nearly missed the playoffs this year.

There is a good chance the Steelers won't make it back.
This was the first year in ten years that the Super Bowl loser made the playoffs.
The loser of the NFC Championship game tends to have a losing record the following year.
Of the four teams that lost in the Division round last year only one (Baltimore) returned to the playoffs but failed to make it out of the divisional round this year.
