Beers that are local to your area - Midwest Falcon - 01-26-2011 08:30 PM When I moved to Kansas I tried a wheat beer for the first time and it was amazing. Great flavor and it wasn't too filling. Here it is. And post some of yours as well. I'm always up for trying some new beers. Boulevard Wheat

RE: Beers that are local to your area - mdrake34 - 01-30-2011 02:11 PM Columbus has the Cannon Brew Pub, a restaurant and micro brewery. It only has a small selection of its own brews, but they're tasty. My favorite is the Special Ops IPA. http://thecannonbrewpub.com/beer/ RE: Beers that are local to your area - kibitzer - 01-31-2011 11:44 AM I like wheat ales as well. I think Sweetwater Brewing Co. is local to Atlanta, and they have a good selection of different kinds. I looked for them in 2 stores where I am now, in Smalltown, NC, and I couldn't find any of them up here. So not sure if they're local distributorship only, or they are just not available here. Yeah I've had Sweetwater 420. Pretty good beer. I haven't seen any Sweetwaters out here in Kansas either. RE: Beers that are local to your area - NCFalconfan - 02-02-2011 09:20 AM ![]() ![]() Natty Greene's Brewery makes a variety of really good beers here in Greensboro. Red Oak Brewery just up the road at Burlingtion makes a really nice one as well. If you are in the mood for something a little harder, we've got Junior Johnson up in Madison make some damn good Moonshine as well. Stuff is smooooooooth and really good straight or mixed.
