My Bleacher Report Article - Gritz - 01-17-2011 02:46 PM It's generic, but it pretty much sums up about how I feel about this team right now: Falcons Might Be My Dad's After All RE: My Bleacher Report Article - Zodiac - 01-17-2011 02:52 PM (01-17-2011 02:46 PM)Gritblitzer Wrote: It's generic, but it pretty much sums up about how I feel about this team right now: Hey man your taking this loss way to hard, look at it this way, we lost, we were out played and out coached. We now have extra time to look into FA (CBA willing) and the Draft. Hell there's a good chance we might have a shot at Larry Fitzgerald. Your taking to much out of 1 game. RE: My Bleacher Report Article - papachaz - 01-17-2011 02:54 PM nice write up RE: My Bleacher Report Article - Gritz - 01-17-2011 03:00 PM (01-17-2011 02:52 PM)Zodiac Wrote: Hey man your taking this loss way to hard, look at it this way, we lost, we were out played and out coached. I didn't call for anyone to be fired or anything absurd like that. ...and I did say that Dimitroff and Smith had done a good job getting us to this point. I honestly believe that. I also believe that it's going to be much more difficult to get from where we are now to that elusive "elite" status. It's not difficult at all, it's a matter of will we put the money forward in FA and trade away key players for players that could have a bigger impact IE Trading turner away for Fitzgerald (Not the whole trade details) Than signing a younger faster version of Turner in michael Bush, for cheaper, and drafting a RB like Mikel Leshoure out of the draft. That is what we need to do to become Elite, that's what the Pats have done for so long. RE: My Bleacher Report Article - nobkowski - 01-17-2011 04:07 PM Good write up. The embarrassment of Sat. leaves some questions. RE: My Bleacher Report Article - Radical - 01-17-2011 04:12 PM 3 years of winning seasons, Ryan is tied with Dan Marino for the best record during his first 3 years in the NFL, and two play-off appearances in 3 years. No, this isn't your daddy's Falcons. When it comes to their performance on the "big stage" I think the argument can be made that they are remarkably similar to Falcon teams from the past.... Their record and performance during the regular season clearly separates them from my or your daddy's Falcons....It's demonstrably better. But we all know (or should at this point) that the regular season isn't necessarily where your stature or reputation grows and solidifies. It's what you do in the playoffs. LOL we now have a new and improved version. As I previously posted on tomb, the way the stanks and falcons went out reminded me of old times, just in a better way. |
