New Falcons Mock - Zodiac - 01-16-2011 01:00 PM Resign Grimes Clabo Blalock Tony G (If he doesn't retire) Snelling FA Signings Charles Johnson Michael Bush Larry Fitzgerald(Has to opt out, if not trad Turner this years 3rd Round and next years 4th for him.) 1st. Jon Baldwin-WR-Pitt- Fitzgerald, White, Baldwin, Jenkins... Yes Please 2nd. Mikel Leshoure-RB-Illinois- He's 6'1 230 and runs a 4.5, He has insane burst speed though and is great out of the backfield. (3rd. Mark Herzlich-OLB-BC- I raved about his ability, coming off cancer and 2 broken bones the guy put up 64 tackles and 6 Picks. Rotate him with Nic his rookie year and watch him go insane and turn into on of the best OLBs his 2nd year.) 4th-Curtis Marsh-CB-Utah State- We need a nickelbacl, this dude fits the describtion perfectly he 6'0 193 LBs, and runs a 4.43 omfg yes yes yes. 5th Round- Ricky Elmore-DE-Arizona- another developmental DE, like Sidbury and Biermann groom him under Abe, I mean hell one of them is bound to work out. 6th- Alex Wujiack-MLB-Maryland- Great stats at Maryland only prob is his speed, should be a great backup to Lofton. 7th-Lawton Scott-NT-Ole Miss, he weighs 323 Beef him up to 330 or 340 and watch him just take up space, like Grady Jackson used to be, the final piece for out DT Rotation. 7th- Marcus Gilchrist-FS-Clemson- Depth/Motivation for Decoud. 7th- Bryant Browning-OG-Ohio State- Depth here, could develop into something, unlikely though. There is no way he is going to let Charles Johnson leave. The Cards would take a media blood bath if they let Fitzgerald go. M. Bush is OK, but I'd prefer a fresher pair of legs. RE-sign: Matt Bryant - He has survived the trials of losing his son and his father. Bryant was a game winner and should be kept. Brent Grimes- Better than I game him credit for. Keep this kid. Tyson Clabo- A very good RT with the ability to slide to Guard if needed. J Blalock--I like him but we may have a few guys ready to step in (Johnson, Valdez, Reynolds). I'd prefer to keep continuity, but we may have to say good-bye to him and Dahl. FA Signings: Nmamdi Asomugha (spelling). Our D's greatest weakness is pass coverage. Even if we have a good pass rush, QB's will eat us alive with quick slants. They have been doing it all season long. Add a monster CB like NA and he will shut down one side of the field. That will allow Dunta and Grimes to play more aggressively, knowing that they will have safety support. I am not ready to make a mock. I'd like to wait for the Senior Bowl before I make any guesses. Nice job on the plan. I just wanted to point out may POV. RE: New Falcons Mock - Zodiac - 01-16-2011 02:06 PM (01-16-2011 02:02 PM)ggp Wrote: I like your thinking. WEre not going to put nearly 200 Million into CBs The Panthers are in a huge FA hile, they have potentialy if the new CBA makes 4 year guys URFA they could have up to 9 starters as Unrestricted Free Agents. I doubt they re-sign Johnson. Plus JOhnson is from Georgia and played at UGA, im usre he would love to come home and play for Atl. |
