Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - nativefalcon - 01-16-2011 12:35 PM Where was Franks? Was he active or not? I'm mean watching Owens get his lunch ate after the first 2 touchdowns, why they didn't pull him and put in Franks. If they didn't feel comfortable with him, schillisinger? another safety like Coleman. This was the coaches blunders among many, Owens obviously could not do it and the coaches should have tried something different, ANYTHING, to stop the bleeding. Oh well after we lost in Arizona, Brooking got to be known as 3rd and 16, Owens is going to a pariah. Sorry for him, the coaches should have gotten that title.
RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - Swift Is a Die Hard - 01-16-2011 12:40 PM I thought Franks is on IR and same with Schill ..i thought same thing but wasnt sure its funny i remember everyone last year saying Chris Owens was real deal lolllllllllll RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - markdzul - 01-16-2011 01:35 PM I thought owens did show flashes last year. not sure what happened.. RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - ggp - 01-16-2011 01:43 PM Owens was the best available DB. The coaches put him in a position to succeed but he failed. We need another quality CB in the worst way. Can you think of any quality CB's that will be available in free agency? I can think of one. RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - Peyton - 01-16-2011 02:02 PM Yeah....there were a lot of obvious talent advantages for GB last night, but the most obvious was the difference between their NB (Sam Shields) and Chris Owens. RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - Red Falcon - 01-16-2011 03:29 PM The slot is no joke...... At least on the outside you have the sideline on one side.... In the nickel you basally have cover the entire field. Maybe the coaches should have moved Grimes or Dunta into the slot. RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - Paulitik - 01-16-2011 04:01 PM Franks has been inactive because of his Special Teams play. Chris Owens has just collapsed after a promising season last year. He should change his last name to Owned. RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - DemBirds - 01-16-2011 04:52 PM Franks wasn't on the inactive list last night, had he been it would have been the most retarded thing ever as that would have left us with just 3 active CBs. RE: Where was Franks? Was he active or not? Coaches mistakes there were many - juraitwaluzka - 01-16-2011 06:09 PM After Owens showed everyone why it was a good thing he wears depends I would've liked to see them try something else. Put Franks in there, put Coleman in there, hell put JA98 in there, try something, it can't really fail worse than it already was failing lol! We blitzed Honestly if there was no plan B and they went with just leaving Owens in there and that's all they could come up with that's some shitty damn coaching right there. On the blitzing, I read this little tidbit: The Falcons blitzed Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers fairly often. Maybe they should have done it even more. Rodgers faced four or fewer rushers on 62.5 percent of his dropbacks. In those situations, he completed 90.9 percent of his passes, averaged 12 yards per attempt, threw for two touchdowns and ran for another while compiling a 147.0 passer rating. Hmmm... I don't know, maybe try something different? |
