Offseason Needs Threads - Zodiac - 01-16-2011 11:38 AM
Ok first off we cant base everything off that game last night, we have to look at it in the long terms
Alrighty than, I think in conclusion with how the season ended we can't just label all our needs based off one "game" We have to look at it as a whole.
What we need in Personell
-A new OC, I'm sorry MM your gameplans are great for keeping the ball and keeping ahead but that just doesn't work in the play-offs man.
-DC, Personally im still 50/50 on BVG, but his schemes just aren't working. We can either get Sean McDermmot, or switch to a 3-4 with Rob Ryan.
My OC Short List- Josh McDaniels, Norm Chow, or Brian Billick
MY DC Short List-Sean McDermmot, Rob Ryan, Mike Singletary
Now on the FA Side of who we should resign
Snelling
Grimes
Clabo
Gonzo(If He doesn't retire)
Blalock
Now here is what we need
A WR opposite of Roddy White (We should be picking in prime territory for Jon Baldwin)
A speed back (Mikel Leshoure in the 2nd Round)
A nickel Back (Williams is to old and Owens is just ****, Franks obviously isnt any better if he's inactive instead of Owens.
A Big NT, Our DT rotation is great, but we really need a guy who can just plug a gap with his girth, like Grady Jackson used to.
An OLB, Nic while great is horribly inconsistent. He's Probably better as a rotational Backer anyways.
(If Gonzo Retires) A TE
A DE (look for this through FA)
DE, that would be avaible to us in the Draft are Jj. Watt, Cameron Heyward, and Allen Bailey.
Through FA we could get Charles Johnson or Mathias Kuwinaka
OLBs- We Could snatch up Mark Herzlich in the draft.
RBs- Michael Bush and Kevin Smith are both expected to be FAs. We Could grab Mikel Leshoure in the 2nd Round, Delone Carter, or Kendall Hunter in the 3rd, or Jordan Toddman in the 4th.
TE- We resign Gonzo if he wants to play some more, if not Zach Miller out of Oak is a FA, we could also get Kyle Rudoplh first round or Lance Kendrick Late 2nd to Mid 3rd round.
Nickel Corner- These are ussually the hardest guys to find, I think we should go after a Fast guy, or we could take the possibilty of signing Champ Bailey, or Asomugha and move Grimes into the Nickel spot.

WRONG, IF we signed Asomugha, we do something with Dunta and KEEP Grimes.
Aaron Rodgers made it clear last night that he liked throwing to Dunta's side of the field. That guy is our 2nd best corner.
