If we won this thread would have never happened.

I didn't even read this whole thread. This is just plain ridiculous. There were 0 holes to run through. It's not like Jason Snelling came in and were busting big runs. The oline didn't do the job in the run game, plain and simple. They definitely didn't do the job at the goal line. Yes Turner fumbled, but the man isn't 2003 Tiki Barber. That was his first fumble in hundreds of carries. Did he play a great game? No, but I know there are other factors to it and it's way too early to cut him over one game.

Norwood has seen the field less than Bob Sanders for gods sake.

The Obvious solution

Turner's stats will still get him some good rep, a team that needs a big RB that can bruise the Oline is Seattle.

We don't have any WRs outside of Jenkins and White who can make clutch plays.

So
We should trade Michael Turner to Seattle for Marshawn Lynch and Mike Williams(Or thier 2nd rounder)

Turner isn't a main back anymore he can't handle the load.

O and I hope MM takes the Job in Denver, that way we can go after Norm Chow.

Sorry I have to disagree....yes he was stuffed twice on the 1.....but we should never have called that twice against a smart defense. The first time we were close we threw to roddy on a slant....This would have worked again. The slant is VERY hard to defend for less than 2 yard gain. We have Tony G, Jenkins and White who can all run that route and catch....Jenkins had been tearing them up all day on this little route (probably could have used it more had we wanted to....

Bottomline: Mularkey needs to mix it up and quit being a stubborn mule..Good defenses can stop people running straight up the middle from the one.

Another thing....notice again the no huddle was moving the ball better than the huddle....Apparently Smitty disagreed and said they were running the same defense (but the point isn't what defense they are running as much as the plays that are being called. Matt always does better calling his own plays, we tend to stagnate when Mularkey is calling plays.)

DO WHAT WORKS let Matty run the offense.

I think Turner has lost a little speed but he is not the problem here. He is having a pretty good year and will probably make the pro bowl. We have a habit of running him up the middle early in games with the sole intent of wearing down the defense and this does not produce a lot of yards but usually by the 4th qtr the opposing defense is pretty tired of getting rammed by him and he makes some good plays.

The problem is we can't always do that and when it is not working we need to adjust.

As far as Turner goes yes he has lost a little speed but I have seen him int he last month or so make some REALLY good runs and also fight and fight and fight for yards, making spin moves dragging players with him etc.

I'm perfectly fine with Turner being our featured back for another 3 years or so as he slows down he will still be hard to tackle and his vision to hit hole will improve so it will make up for any slowing he is going through.

We just really need to draft a good speed back in the 1st or second rd this year to take the load off of him. This will also make Snelling more dangerous.

But to say we need to get rid of Turner is pretty stupid.

Turner has a shot to hit 1500 yards yet again this season and people want to trade him? That's just stupidity.

Here's a brief run-down of why Lynch was not only shipped out of Buffalo, but also why he will never be a Falcon:

Quote:On June 14, 2006, Lynch was the victim of mistaken identity when unknown assailants shot at his car outside his high school alma mater as he was about to visit his little sister on her graduation day. He was not the intended target of the shooting, and no one was injured. The shooter phoned Lynch's mother to apologize.[28]

On January 25, 2007, Lynch was accused of sexual assault by his former girlfriend. The incident reportedly happened on December 13, 2006, outside the woman's home in Emeryville, California. On January 29, 2007, an Alameda County Deputy District Attorney who specializes in domestic violence cases declined to press charges, citing a lack of evidence and "grave inconsistencies" in the alleged victim's accusations.[29] Lynch was never arrested or charged.

On March 3, 2007, an Alameda County judge threw out a restraining order that Lynch's ex-girlfriend had issued against him because it was obtained improperly.[30]

During June 2008, Lynch was investigated for his involvement in a hit and run accident that occurred in Buffalo on May 31, 2008. His 2008 Porsche Cayenne struck and injured Kimberley Shpeley, of Ontario, Canada, before leaving the scene. It should be noted that Shpeley was extremely intoxicated, and dancing in the middle of the street.[31][32] After the 27 day saga, on June 26, 2008, Lynch apologized and accepted a guilty plea to a single count of failure to exercise due care to avoid striking a pedestrian, a traffic violation. He was assessed a $100 fine, and his driver’s license and car registration were revoked. Because a Buffalo police officer gave testimony that Shpeley did not suffer "severe physical injury," Lynch avoided criminal charges for the incident.[33] Lynch was later sued by Shpeley on December 28, 2009 for negligence.[34] Shpeley's first lawyer, who many Buffalo residents may recognize from television ads, refused to represent her, presumably because he didn't see potential to win the case.

Three days after his 2009 Pro Bowl appearance, Lynch was arrested on February 11 in Culver City, California. Lynch and two companions were sitting in a running 2006 Mercedes-Benz when police approached; after smelling marijuana, the police searched the car and discovered a loaded gun that was determined to belong to Lynch. He was released the same day after posting $35,000 bail.[35] Lynch's felony charge was reduced to three misdemeanors, and no drug charges were filed.[36] On March 5, Lynch pled guilty to a single misdemeanor gun charge and was sentenced to three years of probation, and 80 hours of community service. He also agreed to submit to police searches at any time. The two other misdemeanor gun charges were dismissed.[37]

Lynch was accused of stealing $20 from the wife of a Buffalo police officer in a local TGI Friday's on December 7, 2009. A complaint was filed against him the next day.

Marshawn Lynch????? What???? I have banished him from my fantasy team, and I swear I will never draft him in any league I participate in! Smile
