I realize we talk about no respect then on SI.com playoff projections, SOME idiot....I forget the name right now and I am too mad to go back and look....projects that we will lose 2 games (SEA/NO) end up 12-4 and be the 5th seed.....
We need to run the table and teach these type of idiots a lesson....NEVER count us out...and don't underestimate us. I hope SMITTY uses this for bulletin board material....frankly it makes me SICK that guys like this get paid for their opinions!

I know I should forget the media....but sometimes there BS really gets to me....
I have been a die hard fan and while I am not looking for everyone to say the Falcons are the best ever or anything, i believe they deserve a few kudos......to be absolutely disrespected when we are tied for the best record in the NFL with the toughest Strength of Schedule (though i thought looking at the start of the year that 12-4 or 13-3 would be easy, a Lot of teams I thought would be creampuffs played with heart.) and then be ridiculed by these so called sportswriters hurts a little.......i know I am over reacting....i just hope the Falcons over-react and kick everyone's butt straight through the Superbowl.....

The simplest way I can put this is like this:
Our team is the most conservative of teams. We don't blow people out. We don't win games with style. When you have teams like the Saints and the Patriots putting up 35+ points in games, they are going to be loved because they are looked at as great offensive teams. The only team we blew away was the Cardinals way back in the beginning of the season. The media in this day and age, will never appreciate a smash mouth football team. They think putting up crazy amounts of points is everything the NFL represents. It is not. However, you will struggle mightily to try and get the "talking heads" to change their stance on it.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. It because it's the Falcons playing that type of game.
Let the Steelers, Bears, Ravins, Jets, etc. play the conservative game and it's a whole different story.
But I've come to accept it even though I hate it. The only way we get the same creds., will be to win several division crowns and probably a couple of championships too.
