Say the 2nd INT by Grimes was also over ruled... - sandiegofalcon - 12-07-2010 10:15 PM what would have been the ruling on the Freeman late hit? would it have just dissappeared? or would the next play be 2nd and 25? just curious RE: Say the 2nd INT by Grimes was also over ruled... - Gritz - 12-07-2010 10:21 PM (12-07-2010 10:15 PM)sandiegofalcon Wrote: what would have been the ruling on the Freeman late hit?I'm not sure, but I guess if the interception was overturned then the rest of the play didn't happen. RE: Say the 2nd INT by Grimes was also over ruled... - Peyton - 12-07-2010 10:27 PM I heard it would have still been enforced. I can't say 100% that what I heard was accurate, but I don't think they let a personal foul just disappear. RE: Say the 2nd INT by Grimes was also over ruled... - Radical - 12-07-2010 10:30 PM Still 15 yard penalty. It was a personal foul, so what happens on the field play wise has no impact on it. I thought about that when the play was under review. Because its a PF it still gets added on. Had it been any other kind of penalty then it would have been like it didn't happen. RE: Say the 2nd INT by Grimes was also over ruled... - I Am The Truth - 12-07-2010 11:34 PM Freeman was a POS for that late hit OB. Hope we clobber that dude next year (if we can ever bring him down). RE: Say the 2nd INT by Grimes was also over ruled... - TonyGraziani - 12-07-2010 11:38 PM I thought that looked like a late hit. I didn't see the game and only saw the highlights and they didn't mention if it was or not. I didn't see the game and only saw the highlights and they didn't mention if it was or not. It showed during the replay that Grime stepped outside, then Freeman came charge in. I think it should've been a Helmet to Helmet more than a late hit. Not to take Freeman side, but the Ref call that hit on Grime as a late hit was "kinda BS" Because if Freeman wasnt going to hit Grimes, Grimes would've had kept on running. It pretty much similar to the one Beerman laid on Freeman (so if we take Beerman side, to be fair we have to take Freeman side on the hit as well) They both was running full force into the other player and put on a football tackel. It just that the one Freeman laid on Grime was straight up helmet to helmet. If any penalty should've been call on Freeman during the play, it should have been Personal Foul - Helmet to Helmet. Still 15 yard penalty, same shit.
