Is this odd to anyone else? - phocis850 - 12-04-2010 11:20 AM
I think its the third correction and it talks about Bilicheat wearing pink.
This is odd as I just stumbled upon this corrections page on my phone but in the correction it states that they made the mistake that he wasn't wearing pink to support breast cancer like everyone else was supposed to. I didn't think it was required by the coaches but I guess it is.
The odd part is the location of the "support". The organization claims that it was on the bottom of his shoes. Now I don't know if that's true or he just didn't wear pink, but to say its on the bottom of a shoe is not very supportive. In fact imo, its downright degrading to those with breast cancer.
What do you guys think? I know this is an odd topic but to show support on the sole of a shoe just seems wrong.

I like this quote from there:
"At ESPN, our reputation and credibility with viewers, readers and listeners are of paramount concern."
Yet Trent Dilfer still has a job
As far as the support thing goes I guess he was technically wearing pink but seems kind of childish. If the players are secure enough in their sexuality to conspicuously were pink is support of a good cause then shouldn't a head coach feel comfortable in doing it. Maybe Belichick isn't as secure in his manhood as he make out to be

Didn't he have a pink hat or skully? I remember something in the head area being pink.
We don't know what he did in lieu of wearing pink. Maybe he donated money instead

I think this is irrelevant.

Why? If your mom had breast cancer would it still be irrelevant?

It doesnt matter if some guy wears pink or not. And according to that article, Belichick actually did have pink on the bottom of his shoe, so its irrelevant.
And why is this whole thing restricted to just breast cancer? What about all the other cancers? Where is the appreciation for All Cancer sufferers?
