Anyway, nice post Supes. I'm sure I will continue to read/post at both boards. I've always been more of a "commenter" than a "topic starter" or "news breaker" anyway. Tbh, though, I haven't been back over there except for when someone brought up the NFC South contest, and I remembered I hadn't made picks in Finally's thread.

I don't think the people running things over there are "bad folks" or anything either. Jay Adams lets his work speak for himself, and I wish they had 10 that approached their work the same way. The sheer volume of posters and traffic has it's challenges, I'm sure. So maybe they do, best they can, and it's just not as visible to the rest of us.

At the same time, I am among those whose screen name was PERMANENTLY banned for something that really just should have been a warning. I'm not going into the whole story again, and I don't even think it was a "power-tripping mod" either. (tbh, don't know who put the hammer down) In fact, I will say this, it was something directed at the litany of problems they continue to face over there, and not something directed at another poster, or even inappropriately publicly posted derision.

My great hope for this place, is that it remains by the fans, FOR the fans. It's a concept that seems to have been lost on some of even the "good folks" running the show at the OMB. And that's not a dig at all. It's just really what I think about the whole thing.

There was nothing "weird" about how fast they vanished afterward either. Some mod finally logged on that following Monday, saw all the reports and complaints, read some of their post and threads, and banned them. It was, however, too little and too late.

What was Funny to me was how the Mods just let that go on for so long without doing anything. So i just took a 2 day vacation from the board.
