I don't see GB having the bye considering I strongly believe we beat them next week

....How you have us losing TWO games at home against teams that we are better than is beyond me.... but you did "warn" me.... *shakes head in contempt as I walk out of this thread*

That's why I have it labeled as My unbiased opinion lol. I don't want to lose to Green Bay, but with the passing attack of Aaron Rodgers, and ANOTHER 3-4 defense, it's a game that can go either way. I like our chances, but i'm choosing the cautionary road on that one as well as the Saints game. I want nothing more than to run the table and get HFA, but I think it's going to be a fight. Here's to hoping I am wrong and the Falcons run the table Smile

There's a saying that goes a little something like "Any Given Sunday". I bet the Saints didn't think the Browns or the Cardinals were better than them. They still lost. Hell, I bet the Patriots thought they were better than the Browns. It's the NFL. They all share the same stage for a reason. This isn't college where there are clear cut good/bad teams. What about the Jets? Labeled as the best team coming into the season, and they have been tested ALOT by the "weaker" teams. Just sayin' we shouldn't be counting our eggs before they hatch.

We just beat one of the best 3-4 defenses in the NFL, and Aaron Rodgers isn't quite having the season everyone expected to him to have.

Matt Ryan has just about as many yards as him, more TDs, and less INTs. In terms of effectiveness, Joe Flacco has had the better year so far.

I just don't see us dropping BOTH the GB AND NO game. Maybe one of them, but no way both. Not even about being a "homer" here.

My thoughts exactly. So why not have us losing @ Seattle and Tampa, which are two games we are more in danger of losing than those two? Hell, why not have us losing this weekend? Better yet, why not just have us win EVERY game? Big Grin

I am a huge advocate of "any given Sunday", but using that theory in conjunction with us losing against the (arguably) two best teams we have left doesn't add up IMO.

I think if there's one team in the league that can avoid falling in a trap game, it's the Falcons. They haven't yet developed/earned the cockiness that can get them into the kinds of messes NE and NO found themselves in. A final record of 12-4 is entirely possible and probably what most of us saw as a best-case scenario before the start of the season. But I think we're all in over our heads when it comes to predicting individual games.

PS - What's an Air Force guy doing with F-18s in his sig?

I would love to win every single game. It's the easiest way to ensure that we get HFA. I don't think that the Seattle/St. Louis/Tampa games will be as hard fought as the Packers/Saints. In my opinion, we should win those 3 games and struggle with the Packers and Saints, while hopefully coming out on top. Only time will tell.
