Jenkins figertip sideline catch - phocis850 - 11-12-2010 11:06 PM Man, that was an AMAZING catch. Everyone hates on Jenkins, but his experience showed during that catch http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d81c0d165/Jenkins-makes-amazing-fingertip-grab?module=HP_video He knew that if one of his hands left the ball then it would have been considered bobbled. He decided in the split second to keep his fingers in control even while out of bounds. THAT is how Jenkins has been stepping it up this year.
RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - The Falcon Jedi - 11-12-2010 11:18 PM And during all that he managed to drag that right foot. That impressed me the most. RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - Jesus - 11-12-2010 11:24 PM Fingertips Jenkins RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - I Am The Truth - 11-12-2010 11:58 PM Sensational catch. RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - Joker - 11-13-2010 01:50 PM On PTI they said we had 1 great WR and 1 very good WR. I liked that RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - Geneaut - 11-13-2010 01:52 PM About the same damn pass as against Chicago except with the added fingertip drama. I can't complain with his results this year, though I'd love to see him produce in the red zone. You got that right. The guy just doesn't know how to use his size advantage. He needs a more killer attitude. There is no reason he shouldn't have 3 or 4 TDs by now. As many issues I have with Jenks, there is no doubt he's been clutch for us. RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - War Damn Eagle - 11-13-2010 04:35 PM I didn't think the catch was even questionable. It was the exact play from Chicago. RE: Jenkins figertip sideline catch - Tandy - 11-13-2010 06:40 PM (11-13-2010 01:50 PM)Joker Wrote: On PTI they said we had 1 great WR and 1 very good WR. I liked that They were not really complementing us - here is the whole conversation: Wilbon: Let's move to the National Football League and the Falcons beating the Ravens last night. A Wide open Roddy White caught a game winning touchdown pass in the final minute to win it. White later admitted he pushed down cornerback Josh Wilson to get open. Quote " You gotta do what you gotta do to win" Close Quote. Falcons Linebacker Mike Peterson called it a statement win. Tony, did the Falcons just become an elite team? Tony: Ah, you know, they're an elite team if they can play all their games at home. (Wilbon: Yeah, that's it) Matt Ryan is 18-1 at home in his career in the NFL. So that means they gotta beat New Orleans. They gotta beat the Packers. They gotta beat the Giants to go all the way through at home and they have 2 home games later - one against the Packers and one against the Saints - if they can do that then they can advance but they are not an elite team, I don't think, until they can do that. Wilbon: Til you win on the road - you are not an elite team. A lot of teams can win at home and they have mediocre seasons - 9 & 7 kind of years because all they can do is win at home. The Falcons have already blown a couple of chances to have impressive road victories this year including one in Pittsburgh that they should have won. This is a good win for the Falcons and the Ravens ought to be disappointed because the Ravens go ahead and it looks like they are going to win the game and that vaunted defense just gives it away and by the way - that's a bogus catch by Jenkins - it was not a catch and the referees on the field and in the replay booth blew it. You can not control the ball with your fingertips while you are shifting it to your palms. It's a bogus catch, it never should have counted and the league is going to wind up apologizing to the Ravens. Tony: Here's what Atlanta has got. They've got a good to very good Quarterback. They've got a pretty good to great Wide Receiver. That's what they've got so far. Now, here is my problem. Not every starting QB "wins" at home as they seem to claim. Ryan is one of 3 QBs in the history of the NFL to win 18 of their first 19 home starts. Danny White actually got to 19-1 before his second loss at home. However, he was in his 7th year when he got to the 18-1 Ryan is at now. Daryle Lamonica was the other QB and he got to 24-1 before losing the second game and he reached 18-1 in his 7th year. Ryan's road record is not good, but it's typical of a young team on the road. His record is 9-11 on the road. The point differential total for 2 1/2 years on the road is -17. Opponents have scored 428 points and we have scored 410 points. That is an average of 21.4 points per game by the opponent and 20.5 points by us or a difference of -0.9 points per game. The other thing that bothers me is that they keep saying we have to beat New Orleans. We did beat them once already - and that was ON THE ROAD. We'll see how it ends up - but I still think anything we've accomplished is dismissed as usual and I'm okay with that basically. Let them play with a chip. |
