If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - The Falcon Jedi - 09-17-2010 02:10 AM Just wondering if this would be the same as a Player strike. RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - Anomaly - 09-17-2010 02:12 AM I think it would be no football. RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - The Falcon Jedi - 09-17-2010 02:16 AM I wonder if a lockout year would count towards certain players becoming free-agents. Like how many free-agents are due to be available in 2012? Or would the lockout year not count towards that? RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - Anomaly - 09-17-2010 02:57 AM That I'm not sure about but this is a good read on the CBA stuff. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ms-laborquestions090810 RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - cnasty - 09-17-2010 03:10 AM I can play for the Alabama Sillynannies. RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - TonyGraziani - 09-17-2010 04:03 AM I believe that after the last one they put in a rule that forbid teams from using replacement players again. I could be wrong, but I'm quite sure I'm not. I'm really interested in how the draft order would be set. Do they go with the same order as the last draft, giving the same team the too picks every round? Or do they do a lottery and obviously rig it to give the taints the top pick? I think the fairest way is to take the previous draft order and then have picks in serpentine order, with the top team next picking 64th and us picking back to back at 32 and 33. Thoughts? (sorry if this is a threadjack) RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - Same Ol Falcons - 09-17-2010 04:13 AM I have a feeling the networks will juggle the College Football schedules to accommodate and College Football will take off like a rocket.....not that it hasn't already RE: If there is a lockout next year, will scabs play or will there just be no football? - Sun Tzu 7 - 09-17-2010 08:48 AM (09-17-2010 04:13 AM)Same Ol Falcons Wrote: I have a feeling the networks will juggle the College Football schedules to accommodate and College Football will take off like a rocket.....not that it hasn't alreadyYeah, if there's no NFL.... Prepare for College Football to cover the void. They probably won't play any games on Sunday but Sunday and Monday Nights are very possible. After all there are plenty of teams and plenty of games to choose from. NFL = 32 teams College Football FBS > 200 teams |
