Really starting to dislike them.

"Starting to?"

You're late to the party BadMoon.

ESPN has been the TMZ of sports for years now.

They aren't worth a shit outside of showing highlights....

Swifty was proven to be wrong. At least he manned up. That can't be said for a lot of other negative people. Tandy said it was sad the other day, and I definitely have to agree.

That was bad gritz, Matt isn;t asked to do much, and is not very mobile.
He not Mike Vick, but he sure as hell ain't no Bledsoe/Marino as hinted at.

If he had come out yesterday and said no that still weren't enough I could understand. But his knock on Ryan was as yet we had not seen the game put in his hands and his hands alone for 4 quarters. All the reports were that it was the run game that needed to be killed. Teams schemed for Matt passing off the run, as yet they have not played the Matt Ryan who is the sword of our offence and not the shield.

No, Swift clearly said that Ryan was not capable of putting this team on his back and leading them to a win. He went as far as calling Ryan nothing more than a game manager who was not the true leader of this team. He ignored all evidence offered up that pointed to the contrary.

He was dead wrong on all fronts and it's time to face the music.

Thats exactly what he did. He showed back up to a thread you bumped from a month ago, just to be spiteful, and said the best things he could muster up about Ryan and our team.

Instead of continuing to berate him, why dont you hunt down all the other people (some of which posted in this very thread) who continually bash aspects of our team and take them to task, too?

Swifty showed back up and basically said, "Ryan had a great game." That somehow completely absolves him of all the wreckless, unfounded baloney he has been continually spewing about Ryan over the past few months? I don't think so.

As soon as we hear "I was dead wrong about Ryan being nothing more than a game manager and Turner being the leader of this team," then there will no longer be anything to argue about and this embarrasing thread will likely fall off the front page.

Until then, I will enjoy serving Swifty his well-deserved crow.

Its funny today you hear alot of analysts on TV saying that was Ryan coming out party, he took the next step in the process and thrust himself in that next category of QBs and thats exactly what I been saying , up until last nights game Ryan was a game manager imo that we relied on Turner to run and then Ryan to make some plays when need be so but last nights game in his maturation process was a CLEAR step to me and many other people as putting the team on his back .

Ryan was great yesterday .. He controlled and put that game on his back ..I was one of the very few people who wanted to draft this kid..If you ever want to see go take a look at my SWIFT KICK pro file on AFMB when I will say 92% of you guys wanted Dorse..

Just cause I criticize Ryan in any form doesnt mean anything .. I just call it like I see it and yesterday Ryan took that next step that I needed to see...Next step will be leading us to division title and playoff win , then next step

"Matt Ryan has proved he really cant carry a team on his back like some of the other premier QBS .."
-Swift Is a Die Hard, 10/18/10

I always thought that once something was proven, that was the end of it. Only in Swifty World can things be "un-proved."

Sorry, the only way out of this is admitting that you were monumentally wrong in your assessment of Ryan's skills as both a QB and a team leader.

Your criticisms ring of finality. You can't say that Matt Ryan IS/HAS PROVEN to be a weak armed piggy-back rider of Michael Turner who lacks leadership one minute and then hop on his bandwagon the next.
