NFL Stat of the Week - Peyton - 10-05-2010 09:46 PM Kyle Orton.....I say.......Kyle Orton is currently on pace to pass for..... 5,676 yards which would crush the NFL record by almost 600 yards. Man, this is one wacky season so far. RE: NFL Stat of the Week - DemBirds - 10-05-2010 09:50 PM Crazy. And Demaryius Thomas isn't doing anything for my fantasy team! The funniest thing was last week against the Colts, when dude threw for like 500 yards but the Broncos only managed 13 points. RE: NFL Stat of the Week - JRid - 10-05-2010 09:56 PM I saw earlier that Orton leads the league in passing and I couldn't believe it. That's just crazy. I think they also said he led the Broncos in rushing yards against TN. I don't think it was very many rushing yards, but still Orton is taking care of business. The dude used to be the butt of jokes about how much he sucked. Then last year he turned into a very good QB. And now.. I mean if the dude would have thrown for 5 more yards in the opener he would have started this season with 4 straight 300 yard games. The guy is clearly at least in that second tier of QBs behind Manning, Brady, and Brees, maybe headed toward the top tier. RE: NFL Stat of the Week - The Falcon Jedi - 10-05-2010 10:11 PM The funniest thing is that he was a horrible backup QB for the Bears just a few years ago. Now he is looking like a mini Peyton Manning. And Cutler, who was a former Bronco, is now looking like the old Kyle Orton for the Bears. Talk about role-reversal. RE: NFL Stat of the Week - harveybirdman - 10-05-2010 10:12 PM Ahem.... They can't run the ball... Just sayin RE: NFL Stat of the Week - The Falcon Jedi - 10-05-2010 10:14 PM Mike Martz sucks. Another one of those "offensive genius" coaches that Failed. He got his rep from running Vermeil's Rams team. Dick Vermeil built that team, not Martz. All Martz did was ride the coat-tails of Warner and Marshall Faulk and Isaac Bruce and Tory Holt. And now..It really is hard to believe. I haven't seen him play except for a few highlights. How much of it is because of Josh McDaniels? I remember when he got hired McDaniels was talking about how his offense is a very quarterback friendly offense and whoever his quarterback is will be very successful. I think I remember noticing last year that Orton was making a lot of good decisions, which was really helping him. It seems like McDaniels has been a good influence on him. RE: NFL Stat of the Week - bF™ - 10-05-2010 11:16 PM He can put up whatever pass stats he wants. He still has never won shit and on top of that I don't think he's that great of a leader. I think if he went back to a regular NFL offense he'd be same ol orton |
