Report: Redskins shopping WR Devin Thomas
Since training camp, it has been apparent that Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan do not believe wide receiver Devin Thomas is a good fit for their long-term plans.
Citing a source, the National Football Post is reporting that the Redskins are shopping Thomas in advance of the October trading deadline. During the offseason, teams did inquire about Thomas's availability, according to two people familiar the situation.
Thomas has been effective on kickoff returns and he has handled his difficult situation professionally. The third-year player might benefit from a change in scenery. It seems Mike Shanahan is trying to make that happen.

Even if he could outplay Galloway, we need a number 2 receiver, not another 3 or 4. Not worth it for us.

Typical Michigan State prospect. Very good in college, nothing in the NFL.

I'd do it for a 6th or 7th. He's still got a load of potential, and last season was practically his first season in the league. He's only 23.

Devin Thomas is a role WR. We already have plenty of them.

We have enough WR that can play in Thomas' role for the Falcons.
