This. Maybe I would be bitter if the Falcons were a garbage team because of this, but they aren't. I like watching him play, I even wish him well in Philly, but I'm not gonna waste my time being mad at the guy because he hasn't played a snap in ATL since I was a sophomore in high school (sophomore in college now) and because I'm too busy enjoying what we have in Atlanta right now.

I wish Vick every success in turning his life around... more for his own well being than anything in just his career.
My comment was to only suggest that my devotion was to the Falcons and not Mike Vick... he brought a lot of new fans to the franchise. I'm 50 next month and was already a lifer.

That doesnt even go into how retarded I think it is for people to even care what some athlete or movie star does in their personal life. Do you watch them for how well they play/sing/act or are you some girly star worshipper who idolizes them because their famous? You dont know the specifics of their personal lives.

We're not talking about just any other "famous" person. We're talking about a guy that was supposed to be the face of this franchise, a guy who wore the uniform of the team we love and support as fans. Some of us LOVE the Falcons, we personally WANT to see the team succeed. When you have a guy like Vick who comes in and is given so much, but turns around and just spits on the Falcons through his actions, it is easy to take it personally.
We KNOW this guy was lazy, we KNOW this guy spent his time killing dogs in a vicious manner, we KNOW this guy through his ignorance and arrogance thought he could get away with it. All the while he dressed in our team's uniform on Sunday and gave half effort. Yeah, that disgusts me, and the worst thing about it is the sorry, degenerate scraps of human garbage who excuse his actions and even want him back.

once again, blank is over it, and this actually affected HIS LIFE. in a MAJOR WAY. if vick affected your life IN A MAJOR WAY, and youre still not over it, you have issues.

My hate for Vick is personal and it hits me extremely close to home because I do believe he ended up with one of my dogs that was stolen. Another former Falcons player asked me if he could use him for breeding and I said no then he disappeared...but I don't have proof

It isn't like I sit around every day bubbling with anger over it, but I'm not coming out of it with any positive feelings towards Vick at all, and I am sure Blank doesn't have anything positive to say about the whole situation either.
You never forget, and what he did was downright horrible from top to bottom.

Who's to say what any person would do with that. Todd Marinovich and a few others didnt handle it so well.. Matty handled it well, Vick didn't.. At least he performed, unlike Jamarcus Russell and others.. He made major mistakes, but others have as well and never learned and he seems to have bettered himself through all this so i commend him for it.. he did his time, now let the man be. I dont want him back, but in the back of my mind i wonder what could have been if only he had the right mindset coming in..

I can PROMISE you that if I had Vick's talent and money, I wouldn't be running a dog fighting ring.
