Hawley gave Smith shit after the scuffle and Smith basically told him to fuck off, which led to Hawley whining to his teammate.
Yeah, that was a bit after the Schraeder/Smith tussle. But yeah, Hawley was like, "Did you hear what that rookie said to me???" Like he was appalled at the gall of Smith thinking he could do that to a "veteran". It was pretty whiny, I agree.
Next week Hard Knocks is going to have a 2 minute segment titled "Joe Hawley's Fightin' Around the World."
Here's a link for anyone who missed it. Even better on the second watch! Gonna have to buy this on DVD when it comes out!

I like the getting back to basics Smith was talking about. I did not like to see that some of these guys think tough means getting into fights but none of it was serious. I mean these guys are in pads and wearing helmets after all. The lack of Matty kinda surprised me but he's probably lost in the jungle mansion of William Moore.
I love how Tice was talking shit to Biermann saying they were going to own his ass all camp. Jake is a beast and Julio looks amazing.
I don't know about ya'll but I am digging what Tice is bringing to the O-line this year.
Man, this shit is so freaking awesome. Another great episode.
Hageman is pretty hilarious.
here's to hoping for a torrent again this week
Youtube Parts. Low quality for fast posting. Will update later; someone generally posts a better copy by then (also keeps the youtube acct from being shutdown).
Looks like they are taken down now.... Were working when I posted them, but stopped by the end of watching it.

Switching hosts from Youtube to Cloudyvideos this time because (A) It will stay up longer and (B) you will be able to DL the episode directly if you'd like.
Just push continue to file and you'll have the option to stream or download (or both!)
**EDIT:** Adding mirrors - only use these if the first link doesn't work for you.

Damn I love Brian Cox.

Cox needs to stay on Hageman and really build his confidence. Right now, that's the only thing holding Hageman back. He's a freak of nature athlete, but he's still behind the 8-ball on technique and speed of the game, so his confidence is super low right now.
Here are my observations from HN#2:
-Tyler Starr's fiancé is unbelievably smokin hot.
-Harry Douglas' wife is unbelievably smokin hot... and ready to have a baby. But Harry is like, "That's nice, Honey."
-Prince Shembo is a leader already and knows the defensive playbook so well, he's telling everyone on the field where to line up. Dude is going to be good.
-Jacques Smith is going to make the team as a UDFA LB, he's already playing 2nd string snaps and McClendon has him slotted on starting ST. Another really good UDFA pickup.
-Ricardo Allen busted a nut... literally. Got hit in the nuts so hard, one of them swelled up 4x normal size. His nickname is now "Big Bawls", LOL! He's one tough SOB and he's playing really well.
-Coach Smith got fired the hell up in an awesome speech to the team. He specifically commented on players sticking up for each other on the field. If they get a penalty after sticking up for a late hit on Matty, then so be it, this would be "a good penalty". I really like what this tells the players. It's not permission to get in random fights, but it's about being more of a TEAM, or brotherhood. This is something I think we've been lacking in the past.
-Roddy White is just awesome. And anyone who thinks he's on the decline is crazy.
-Davonta Freeman is the real deal. He can cut like Quizz, but he's WAY faster than him. And he's tough as fuck. Dude takes hit after hit after hit and just keeps goin.
-I can't believe they didn't do any feature on Antone Smith. I just don't freaking get it. He's like gold when he touches the ball and yet he's so incredibly un-noticed.
-Gabe Carimi went down hard with some ankle or leg thing. Did anyone hear about what that was and his status?
Anyways, I can't get enough of this shit. I wish this show was like 2x a week for the entire season.
I get now why the coaches have been so hi on Shembo all offseason and why they keep saying Worrilow is a lock, but Bartu is not. Love that Spoon has Spoon has taken Shembo under his wing.
J. Smith is indeed a beast. That was a great find.
The jury is still out on Starr. HBO thinks he's a walking human interest piece, but he's gotta translate that onto the field.
My favorite part of the episode was Matt walking into the WR's meeting and taking it over, making his point, bonding with his dudes, and walking out like a boss. He is our unquestioned leader.
I wish HBO would show Tice coaching guys up on the field more like that do with Cox. The way it's edited makes it look like Tice just loafs around fucking around with skill position players. Show the man practicing his trade and chewing asses out. I believe I can fly was pretty damn funny though.
We needed Cox on this coaching staff years ago. He's certainly tough, but he's not as gruff as he was made out to be. He's stern but patient with Hagemen.
Give Freeman the damn ball. Loved Roddy sticking up for him, he knows he's special.
Roddy was all up in the defenses face like, "Stop hittin my boy. I wanna see what he can do Friday night, but you keep hittin him and really hittin him. He's gonna be hurtin and not able to show us what he can do. Stop hittin my boy."
LOL! The defense was like, yeah fuck that noise, and they just kept pummeling the kid. But he took it and kept running well. I bet he's sore as fuck though.
And Starr should be fine. He made that fumble recovery even possible. Plus McClendon has him starting on ST.
I think all our rookies are just being rookies. Although Shembo looks like a vet already and Matthews is just a damn stud.
Drathdon, thank you sir, one of these days we ever meet up, I'm definitely gonna buy you one of your favorite beverages, whatever it might be!
loved this episode, several key things stood out to me.
Ricardo Allen is deathly afraid of heights, yet has a drawer full of superhero socks, "thanks for telling that" LOL
Starrs 3 old kid already knows how to say "daddy didn't tackle" is this a tell tale sign? even the coaches in the booth said it out loud, "he was there but missed the tackle"......but yeah, his GF is smoking hot........
james stone sings about as bad as he blocks, and I fully expect that while he's watching film, in his mind he's practicing saying 'you want fries wit dat'. There's a tremendous amount of difference in getting called out in front of everyone when you do something bad, (arms wide open) and when the coach uses something you did that could be a negative but explains how situation dictates whether it's good or not. (hawley having his team mates back)
TD even gets off the path sometimes when he's riding his bicycle, I guess it's to be expected he'd do the same thing in everything OCCASIONALLY
Love what coach cox said at the end "someone don't have habits, he has skeletons in his closet, bodies buried in the basement, 3 wives......" dude is an absolute blast and man if we'd only had him a couple of years ago.
was a good episode. I officially eat crow, I was against hard knocks. Watching the episodes is fun, but what changed my mind was the coaches saying it really isn't a distraction
There is a new troll on the OMB who goes on incessantly about how great James Stone is and how he's our best C, and what an awful human being Hawley is and how shitty Konz is. It's REALLY fucking annoying. So it was fun to see Stone get shamed.
I'm just throwing out there, but I'm assuming Lance Armstrong makes people pay him to go on bike rides with him. I really doubt Dimitroff is buddies with him, I imagine Dimitroff paid a shit ton of money to go ride with him for two days.
