Mike Smith and Dirk weren't bad acquisitions that came from the Jags... Just discussing because he was the Seahawks DC before the Jags and he did pretty good at that position. Don't get your panties in a wad bro.
I don't see where bringing someone in could improve anything. The guys just need more experience.
However, the linebackers need a solid vet. Yes they have one, but they need someone with Freeney credentials.
You don't breed success when you live with the Jags. We cut ties for a reason and look where it's taking us. Smitty was the best coach we've ever had. It's possible Quinn could be even better or end up being a dud. We don't know, but I do know the players need to respect their coaches and a winning record commands that respect.
I'm not sure a coaching upgrade is what we need to fix the defense (but I could be wrong). It seems we're getting a lot out of the talent we have, and just need upgraded talent. I'm especially happy with the 2nd half adjustments we've made in game, and the pass rush we've gotten in key drives. I think letting our current staff continue, and seeing what they can do with more youth, speed, and talent would be a worthy path to take.
Bradley will be a good addition somewhere, though. Would be surprised if the Saints don't pursue him.
There's nothing special about Gus Bradley. He could not build a defense in Jacksonville and he only had one good year in Seattle, whereas Quinn had two. The Falcon defense is trending up. Why mess with that?
