Jason Cole of Yahoo! reports 4 games for Vincent Jackson. MDS is posting a story on it soon
I don't see the Vikings making a play for VJ. They need someone to come in for a year to help before Rice comes back from injury. I don't think it makes sense for 4 games. He would also later push an expensive Berrian off the field. If they wanted someone, they should have picked up Housh for no draft pick and a small one year deal.
Reports are VJ got 4 games. I think he would be the explosive player who could keep the defenses honest knowing he can get that 18 YPC. Huge size, great blocker, great hands, poor drunk driver.
Someone get this man a driver and a contract!

So he's only going to play 4 games?
Sorry, that may have been confusing. Rice is expected back around week 8 or 9. VJ wouldn't play until week 5. It would be a huge investment for what they only really need for about 4 weeks, during which he would be learning the offense and probably be pretty rusty.
I think a more pressing need is a replacement for Sam Baker.
I really with McNeil was on the block. It'd be great to get a great LT, but I think if we address that need it will be through the draft.
Yeah, because that worked so well for us. I wish we'd stop burning draft picks. I think that he's a solid lineman just not LT and once again I was flamed for saying that when we drafted him. TD made a panic move which is becoming his thing.
I think there is still potential. He's only got two years (missing a bunch of games due to injury) under his belt. If he can stay on the field and improve he could be an impact LT in another year or two. Maybe he should get moved to RT or something, but it's too early to call a LT a bust. I'm gonna hold off on judgement, as he has had flashes of top level play.
No, he's not a bust yet. Like I said, he is a solid lineman just not a great LT.
Great LT's are just so dang difficult to get, and take so long to develop. I would put our biggest need next draft at LT or WR.
