RE: which is the bigger qb trade mistake?
I have to say none of the above

1. Schaub - We had Vick and Schaub was going to be gone in free agency so they made a trade so they could get something for him. It was the right move at the right time. If they had known that Vick was going to be convicted of dog fighting - they wouldn't have made that move and Schaub would be out of football forever from playing behind the line we had - you think he missed a lot of time in Houston behind their line?
2. Favre - was going down the tubes. Partying all night - drinking and drugs - would have likely been out of football in no time.
3. Young - He didn't have the talent, coaching or system in Tampa to succeed.

Each of the moves was the right move for the organization with the knowledge they had at the time.

Bucs had no choice on Young. Glanville screwed up on Favre.

There wasn't the right support system here in Atlanta for Favre to thrive in. Sorry but Glanville was not coach enough to handle any marginal player. Favre could have excelled in the run and shoot but he didn't care. The problem is we got a first round pick for Favre in one of the worst drafts ever.

Since the Favre trade haven't we started something like 22 different QBs?

11 worst QB decisions in NFL history

Quote:2. Falcons Trade Brett Favre to Packers
Hindsight is always 20/20. With that in mind, it’s hard to believe that the legendary Brett Favre went 33rd overall in the 1991 Draft to the Falcons. Matter of fact, Atlanta head coach Jerry Glanville never approved of the pick. He even said that it would take a plane crash for him to put Favre into a game. Packers GM Ron Wolf wanted Favre, however. During the offseason Green Bay traded their first round pick, RB Tony Smith, to Atlanta for Favre.

We all pretty much know how that went. Just imagine if he remained a Falcon. Maybe the Lombardi Trophy could have been theirs. Maybe they never would have never drafted Michael Vick in 2001 and wouldn’t have had to put up with that mess.

I don't know. For fun I am going to name as many of them as I can off the top of my head.

Chris Miller
Bobby Hebert
Jeff George
Wade Wilson
Tony Graziani
Chris Chandler
Michael Vick
Kurt Kittner
Doug Johnson
Joey Harrington
Byron Leftwich
Matt Ryan
Steve Debergh
Chris Redman

I've only got 14. Sure I am missing 1 or 2, but I don't think I am missing 8.

^^this^^

as well as what peyton said, who's to say any of those would have turned out like they did if they'd stayed. i agree with you peyton, the players have to be put with the people who are going to use them the best way according to the talent level.

this is why MM worries me so, I don't see him being able to do this with MATTY, but i don't wanna hijack this thread with a MM beating so i'll stop right there CoolCool

Chew on THAT, Petunia!
