LOL That is double crow for you. The guy that you suggested the Falcons should have picked has only played in 1 NFL game and has been released 3 different times.

This is why I take a very passive approach when it comes to the draft and who we pick. I have a pretty good understanding of what we look for in players. One thing I always found amusing was our people think we should be "looking for starters" in the 6th round and silly things like that.

I did think it was a virtual lock that Sean Weatherspoon was our pick at 19 though. I research projected 1st rounders a good bit, and I couldn't find a guy that fit us better at a position of need. I made a lengthy post over Walterfootball about the guy, and was pleased when it shaped up that way to a T.

Before the draft, I wanted the Falcons to go DE and I was concerned about Weatherspoon's tackling. But all the good DEs came off the board before the Falcons drafted, so we'll never know if they would have went that route.

Weatherspoon's tackling is still his weakest area, but man, the guy can get to the right spot every time.

Getting there is more than half the battle. He'll get his tackling straight.

Yeah he will. That's something that can easily be coached. The important thing is that the has the speed. Like you said, he'll get the tackling part down. I like his coverage also. Right now he seems to be one step behind the pick, and that's as a rookie. I think in due time he will be an extremely solid piece to this outstanding LB core that we have developing here in ATL.

I always saw his biggest weakness was the angles he took sometimes. The guy gets out of position quite a bit, but has some blazing recovery speed to make up for it. All in all, he'll get in order sooner rather than later.

I didn't see any DE we would go after lasting until our pick, which was more or less Derrick Morgan and only Derrick Morgan IMO.

I was not really happy with letting Milloy walk thought we needed the leadership in the Secondary. I do think Moore could learn a lot from him.

I had never really watched Turner so I thought we may have overpaid for LT's back-up.
