the calm before the storm?
Are we gonna beat the Eagles tomorrow?
I don't know why I have a bad feeling about this game.

RE: the calm before the storm?
I think it should be a great game either way. But since I'm watching it with an Iggles fan, I hope we embarrass them. I really like a lot of the matchups.

I attribute it to being a lifelong Falcon fan and being let down so many times by the team. It is something that I am working on though. I need to "Rise Up" and be a more optimistic Falcon fan. Seriously.....As this team improves I need to improve my outlook. It's a process.

RE: the calm before the storm?
Of course we have ALOT to be worried about. With practically this same exact offense last year, the Eagles were able to hold us to just 7 points. Of course, one of the benefits is they do not have McNabb this year, and that will help our defense tremendously. I REALLY hope that Spoon can go on Sunday. Although I don't want him out there risking more of an injury if he isn't 100%. I'd rather him sit out this game and get 100% than risk a more serious injury.
Our defense is obviously more improved, but their receivers still scare me. They have such a fast offense, and McCoy is a very good running back who isn't getting any spotlight because YKW has been taking it all. I still think the Falcons can win, but I am not gauranteeing a blow out.

RE: the calm before the storm?
I know in reason that this is a road game and isn't exactly a must win situation.
But a championship team wins this kind of game, and I will be sorely upset if we can't come away with a win. |

RE: the calm before the storm?
The one thing that's getting to me is that they haven't won at home this year.

RE: the calm before the storm?
I look at every game as a 'statement' opportunity. This week's statement is that one of the Falcons primary tormentors of the Smith/Dimitroff era is due for its comeuppance. I'm with paulitik on this one - if you haven't read his Falcons/Eagles posts, he wants blood, and in the case of Andy Reid, bloodied fat. I could go for some of that myself.

Nevermind, we didn't have Matt Ryan last year against the Eagles..Should be an interesting game. I get to watch it, but I am not betting on a blowout.

RE: the calm before the storm?
If we win this game it will prove our record is for real. If we lose, everyone will know that we can only beat losing teams. This is the biggest statement game this year so far in my opinion.
