listened to the game on Sirius
First of all, Roddy is a true pro and leader. Talk about a guy that has stepped up! Thanks Roddy.

A couple of traits characterized the Wes Durham broadcast:

1. The refs were truly lousy. Too many obvious off-sides that were ignored. Any truth to this?

2. Ryan was not comfortable in the pocket.

I am depending on the folks that actually saw the game to chime in. Why was Ryan having trouble? Was it the OL or was it Ryan?

I have to admit that I am really concerned about our OL.

Ryan started out great. At one point he was 10-12 then he fell off going like 8-20 or something like that.

That's a young QB for you. Streaky. Once he becomes more consistent. we're looking at a Pro Bowl QB.

Very nicely put! Everyones gotta remember that this is only Matt's 3rd year and he is still learning out there. I truly believe he is going to be great!

RE: listened to the game on Sirius
The non called offsides gave the 49ers a big rush and that caused ryan to be a bit jumpy in the pocket

How did the OL look? Should we be concerned?

RE: listened to the game on Sirius
They called a few offsides had some questionable no calls and one def miss that was horrible where they blew up our line and stopped the run behind the line and then everyone stood around expecting the flag but nope. It was in the red zone but ryan threw a td anyways. I was a lil paranoid though bout the whole tipping off the snap deal and I actually thought Ryan was baiting them on a manufactured tell

RE: listened to the game on Sirius
Ryan's cold streak came after he got rocked on a couple of blindside blitz's. He badly missed a bunch of passes after that and continuing until late in the game. He seemed to shake it off once Roddy and Harvey got him the ball back for the final minute drive. Ryan never lost his composure and his "bad" passes were not poorly thrown, but rather just seemed to be thrown to the wrong spot. I think he was either rushing or pressing or maybe was dealing with some double vision or tunnel vision. Hard to tell. Maybe the late interception actually relaxed him as he had to realize how lucky he was to get the ball back. It seemed like that play managed to wake him back up just in time for the final drive.
