important info for our defense
Kaepernick.....178 yards BEFORE contact 2 yards after!
In other words HIT THAT MO FO.......I personally think if we pressure him in the pocket like Wilson and don't let him escape up the middle and burn us like GB, I don't think he makes those throwing plays where Russell wilson excelled...... We need to rattle this kid and keep rattling him.....I am worried about the D-line, I hope Nolan comes up with something special....we know what Abe gives us....but we really should think about finding ways of stopping Kaep that utilize our back ups...the Sidbury and Massiquo (I know spelled wrong....probably wasn't even active) i miss have a guy like Kearny on the line.....huge motor.......we are going to have to reach down deep.......then Rise up and not let them back into the game..... |

RE: important info for our defense
Well thats because he is a QB. He should be taught to get no YAC really. I do notice that he seems to lose track of the play clock a lot changing stuff at the line leaving the coach to call timeouts

RE: important info for our defense
I think the key will be containing him in the pocket, we know our rush won't get there anyway, might as well maintain the pocket, set the edge and close inside running lanes and make him beat us with his arm.

As long as we dont leave people wide ass open, then we can contain his arm. He will get antsy and want to run and we should put a hat on him. Just cover the lanes D-lineman and spy needs to take proper angles. |

RE: important info for our defense
Owens is one of the fastest guys in the league. Most just don't know that. He just absolutely cracked under pressure in the GB game. He was a lot less experienced then and he shit the bed in fear that game.
People can and do improve with time in this game. Muscle memory and anticipation skills and learning to deal with stress and pressure are actual developmental skills that can increase and get better with time and practice and study. Speed and agility, on the other hand are not. Luckily, Owens has those already and the rest he has slowly but surely developed and improved. Certainly not great, but he has developed into an asset at CB depth and ST with his rediculous speed because he doesn't totally suck at the other stuff anymore. |

Chew on THAT, Petunia!
