RE: imagine what it would be like
I don't know about all that my friend. Aldon Smith is a ball player, but too much of one thing can always lead to bad turnouts. When you have so many things that are just alike in one place, things tend to get comfortable. With comfort comes relaxation, with relaxation comes a lackadaisical attitude. At the NFL level, that will get you or someone else hurt big time.

On a more sadistic note, I hope we don't go after anymore Mizzou players. Willy Mo was injured his first year and didn't see the field at all. Spoon started off hot, but then suffered the "quick healing" knee injury that plagued him from like week 6 on through the rest of the season. There's no telling what would happen to Aldon if he were drafted to the Falcons. Let's call it the Mizzou Falcons curse if you will Wink

RE: imagine what it would be like
The learning curve with Missouri players seems disturbingly flat to me. Despite good instincts and big play/big hit potential, I see Moore making slow reads and late adjustments on a pretty regular basis, especially in short yardage and red zone situations. I've seen Spoon completely lost out there on many occasions, to the point that Lofton has to physically put him in position. And I'm also thinking of Ziggy Hood with the Steelers, who made some progress last year but is still the weakest link in the Steelers front seven and not looking at all like a first-rounder. I just haven't been impressed by the football savvy coming out of Missouri.

RE: imagine what it would be like
I dont think the school has ever produced a pro bowl player .. I also think Maclin might be the best NFL player to ever come out of that school..

Stand corrected they actually have a HOF player ..Roger Wehrli

I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 .

RE: imagine what it would be like
ok, two picks from tech does not equal all of va tech... trust me... the sad part is they have put some solid pros in the NFL.

willie mo is coming on and so is spoon...

will take any solid d end at this point will even take Carmichael in the fourth from tech no earlier though.......

I will call a draft of ryan williams as questionable at this point though..........

Rise Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
