I think what happened on that last drive was that the Arkansas staff recognized after a couple of plays that the Dogs were just running cover 2 on every play. Combine that knowledge with the fact that the safety was rediculously late in coming over, and that was one uuuuuuuugly TD.

No such thing as being too invested when it comes to sports. Falcons, Braves, Hawks, Bulldogs, and Thrashers. As you can see from this lovely list of teams, I am used to losing, but not heartbreakers like today with Georgia.

Not because of X's and O's in my opinion. I think if the guy would have lightened up just a little, he would have been fine. Obviously that wasn't the route he wanted to take.

AGREE! I think the young men we had on the Falcons scared the shat out of him. That's why he left in the middle of the night.

Mommabird! Mine are tired from showin them to management at tha store so that's why u haven't seen me up there lately haha. Idk if/when I'm goin back, they don't deserve me. But I swore we had him too! Now I have a legit reason to hate Mallett besides his coach!

I agree - I think his offense could work at any level

But I know this goes against all homer-wisdom but that dude was handed a steaming pile of a situation, I can't say under the same circumstances I wouldn't have done the same thing and in the end it was the right move for all parties involved

It really irks me to see him have success on any level. He may be a good guy top a lot of people, but what he did was unthinkable and despicable. I hate him only slightly more than I hate the guy in Tuscaloose-a. The only credit that I give to the latter is that at least he finished his little toilet of a season in Miami. As far as I'm concerned they can both can go suck a bag of dicks.

Don't get me wrong. I don'g think he is a good guy, but I think he is very good football coach.

I don't get my opinion from my own personal knowledge of football. Last year, I was hanging out with a Falcon player who played for Petrino in college, but not with the Falcons. I asked him "Was Petrino as big a dick in college as he appeared to be when he was with the Falcons?"

His response was "Well he was probably worse but none of us cared because he was a great coach, and we were killing teams, and that is what we wanted".

Also, Roddy White has on several occassions credited the Petrino staff for turning his career around.

Now you look what he is doing in Arkansas, and I seriously thought that his recruiting struggles there would lead them to eternal mediocrity.

Gotta admit it, the guy is good.
