People saying hater say it for one of two reasons. Either they don't have anything of substance to offer so they default to hyperbole, or they get their feelings hurt when they realize not everyone agrees with their pristine opinion so they lash out.

So yeah I'd say it hit a nerve with me too Smile

I agree with this. While a WR block isn't going to make a difference on most plays, the times that it does can be the difference between 8 yards and 80, so it is very important in the context of the entire game.

Quit hatin'. Stop drinking the haterade. CoolBig Grin

All most people do is look at stats and then grade the player based off of that. They don't read between the lines or account for the little things a player does. Jenkins is one of those types of players. He does the little things that don't show up in the stat sheet.

Im just glad he's on the team.. He is an asset.. If he wasnt he wouldnt be here.. Smitty and co would have got him outta here. I think they pushed him when they elevated Laurent Robinson last year then they sent him packing cause he cant stay on the field

we dont need him. needing him would imply that he is irreplaceable. i dont find that to be the case.

Good: Blocking, straight line speed, occasional spectacular catch

Bad: lazy rout running, limited separation, lets ball come to him.

He is fast, but not a blazer. He does not fight for the ball; he lets the ball come to him. He rounds his cuts which reduced the separation. As a result, he will never be a top receiver. I wish they used him on slants, because he could get open across the middle.

Like JA98, he has a use, but does not live up to the 1st round pick.

Well....yeah.....we need him, because the WR group is extremely poor. That doesn't mean he is good though. He's the very definitiion of an average player.

As a manager you I can tell you from experience, you are only as successful as what you can get out of your B and C players.

In that regard, Jenkins is doing just fine in my opinion.

He's a solid player....nothing more....nothing less.

Great blocker for sure but for every spectacular snag there are 3 gimmies that are either dropped or misplayed. He does not attack the ball nor use his height to snag the ball at it's highest point. Of course there are exceptions but for the most part this is Jenk's game.

Not hating because he is has value in our run 1st offense but as I see it he will always simply be a solid player with flashes, but nothing more than that.
