an encouraging article
This is an excellent article. (link provided below) The reason that I like it so much is that is points out the many opportunities that TD will have this draft. I have followed the draft since Ken Herok took Aundray Bruce first overall in 1988. That's right, 23 years of watching our GM's make a mess of things. Actually, I should say 20 years, because TD has done a great job.

I don't recall a draft that had so many excellent developmental OT's, DE's and CB's. While I don't expect to acquire a bevy of instant starters, I think that this could be TD's best long term draft. We should be able to come away from this draft with a solid candidate to take over at LDE, a NB/FS hybrid and a LT prospect that will challenge Baker in a year.

Read through this list and tell me what you think.

RE: an encouraging article
there are quite a few names in there i liked at the senior bowl. James Carpenter is going to make someone a good tackle, Pettis is not getting the attention he should be getting because of titus young, Lefeged and Burney were two dudes that looked solid on the field as well.
we already know all our guys showed up for Jernigans pro day, and wasn't there some talk we had a lot of interest in Lockette? I don't know about a lot of people, but i liked JaQuizz Rodgers too....
guess we'll find out in a few weeks who goes where huh!

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

Yeah. I guess the point is that we should not let ourselves get fixated on a name. There is plenty of talent in this draft. Regardless of the names that are chosen, I expect good things to come.
