Maybe there should be a forum here exclusively just for News.... mods/admins could scan and check for links... That way posters could check the 'News" forum before double posting there... Keep the news related items/threads there?

After posting all my "hard work" from our old HAWT thread, and getting a good feel for the automatic post merging function; i have a suggestion.

There should be an option to either merge, or not. I found that as I am making several posts in a row, with images in them, any text I add gets lost between the merged image posts. It makes it very difficult to see the text at all. You can very easily glance over it which limits my ability to communicate while also uploading several pictures quickly.

I would really like an option to turn that function on and off, as needed. I like the idea behind it, in terms of organizing a thread and keeping people from padding their post count but in the particular case im referring to, it is very annoying.

I'm glad to see this. As an out of town Falcons fan, last weekend was BRUTAL. No Falcons on TV, no online steams to be found that weren't total scams/trojan horses, NFL.com game stats kept freezing up, Falcons board crashed (of course)= me throwing up my hands and working in the yard instead of TRYING to follow the Falcons game. Most often, game threads are the only way I can keep up with whats going on with the game.

I swear, as a fan of a team not in the local market, the NFL seems to bend over backwards in trying to get me do other things than follow my team. It among other reasons, is swaying me towards just moving on from football completely.
