RE: Would you be OK with letting Grimetime go?
i'd trade off grimes for aso, but not grimes for champ.

champ has 2 years left, AT THE MOST if you ask me. grimes will probably see a couple of probowls and maybe even an all pro or 2 before his career is done (he's only like 28 now).

If the Falcons can add Bailey to what they currently have, yes, that would be wonderful.

Well said.

I'm 100% in Grimes camp right now and as young as he is I would not want to see him go for a player, who might have a HOF career but to be honest, how many productive years does he have in front of him? Grimes is just starting to realize all his potential.

I really think our secondary is getting a bad rap for the game on Saturday. When sacks are missed or Rodgers runs and creates time guys are gonna get open. I also feel some of the coverages called lead to guys being wide open in the middle of zones down the field.

Let me clear, ifyou cant tell, I love Grimey. I just wanted to talk about whats out there, I hope we keep him and add.

I don't think this is accurate. I actually think Blank is willing to drop a shit-ton of coin right now. TD's last radio interview, he specifically said they plan to fill some holes with top tier FA's. You guys keep thinking Aso is out of our reach, but Blank is a billionaire and there's no doubt in the world he's made a ton of money off this team the past 3 years & will keep making even more.

I could actually see us trying to get Aso, Kiwanuka, & Sproles in FA. Also re-signing Grimes & Clabo, & then drafting Kyle Rudolph for TE at 27 & using the rest for O-line, WR, & OLB.

If we did that, it would cost a TON, but we'd solidify our defense for the next 5 years. And no character issues to worry about with those FA's either. We'd also take care of that speed-back need big time & then we use our #1 next year on a DE to groom behind Abe.

Having Abe & Kiwanuka on the ends with Biermann & Davis rotating in along with Babs, Peters, JA98, & hopefully Jerry coming on strong 2 years removed from the knee injury, & our pass rush problems are solved. Then Asomugha, Dunta, Grimes, Moore, & DeCoud in the secondary should bump our pass coverage up considerably.

I just have this gut feeling Blank & TD are going to prove to this town they want a SB & spending this kind of money is what it will take. He's definitely got the money to do it to.

I really agree with this one, I could see Blank saying "Screw this, let's bring in the best players we can". I'd love to see the D get sured up in one offseason, plus add one or two players with that "explosive" quality through the draft to bring in the big play potential, and we'd be a force to be reckoned with.

If the FO wants him (Asomugha), they will find money for him.

As for Grimes, he is a keeper, as mentioned before by another, he's just entering his prime. 2 years of solid picks and improved play picking up fumbles and creating them has improved his stock on the team. He'll only get better.

RE: Would you be OK with letting Grimetime go?
Grimes reminds me a lot of Dominique Foxworth. Foxworth had one great season with Atlanta has our number one corner, and even though we wanted him back, Baltimore overpaid paid for him simply on the fact that good corners in their mid 20's are not easy to find. I think that may be the case with Grimes this year, the only way we don't keep him is if somebody pulls a Foxworth and offers him that much money to fill their corner position.

Foxworth? Grimes may be next year's Revis. Give Champ 7 figures to coach DBs.

Grimes compared to Darrelle Revis? Get those homer goggles off man, they're getting foggy..

They aren't as far apart as you might think, and Revis has a year in the NFL on Grimey
