With the 27th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Falcons select...
Hey guys,

I'm running an interactive mock draft with the fan forums of all NFL teams where the fans get to vote and make the pick for their respective team.

So far the fans have voted:
Carolina - Fairley
Denver - Dareus
Buffalo - Newton
Cincinnati - Green
Arizona - Bowers
Cleveland - Peterson
San Francisco - Von Miller
Tennessee - Blaine Gabbert
Cowboys - Prince Amukamara
Redskins - Julio Jones
Texans - Robert Quinn
Vikings - Ryan Mallett
Lions - Tyron Smith
Rams - Aldon Smith
Dolphins - Mark Ingram
Jaguars - Christian Ponder
Patriots - JJ Watt
Chargers - Cameron Jordan
Giants - Anthony Castonzo
Bucs - Ryan Kerrigan
Chiefs - Phil Taylor
Colts - Derek Sherrod
Eagles - Gabe Carimi
Saints - Cameron Heyward
Seahawks - Mike Pouncey
Ravens - Jimmy Smith
Falcons -???

You can vote for the player you want the Falcons to select in this poll:

Also, if you write a short 3-sentence description as to why this player should be drafted in this thread, I will pick out the best write-up and post it in the mock draft section along with your name!

***Also for mods, I hope you don't see this as spam. I am just trying to get the right fans to vote for their team, so we get the right mock draft. If you have any problems, please let me know.

Guys, we're not taking another LB or a DT with our first pick.

Brandon Harris still available, so it's a no-brainer.

Justin Houston. Has great athletic ability to play speed rushing Tampa 2 type LDE. Finally we add a legitimate defensive end across from Abe who fits our defensive scheme.

Stephen Paea. Granted we have a fantastic DT (Babs), a young DT who was above average his rookie year (Peters), and another young DT who was a former 1st round pick and has shown strives of good play (Jerry), Paea is a top 10 talent that will be a multi-Pro Bowl tackle, I guarantee it. Talent like that is impossible to pass up at the 27th pick, Babs and Paea would be unstoppable with Peters and Jerry rotating in. Granted we have MUCH more needs, but if you're going to draft off of talent, you have to get Paea at that position. Strongest NFL player I've ever seen, made Larry Allen look like Morten Anderson on the bench last month.

"employee of the month is a perfect example of how somebody can be both a winner and a loser.". -Demetri Martin.

Seriously?

The 5th ranked DT who is coming off knee surgery & as a result didn't participate at the combine in anything other than weight lifting & isn't near the top of the team's list for need & essentially has 2 rookies ahead of him is going to be our pick in the first round?

RE: With the 27th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Falcons select...
Brandon Harris

Description why:

"Leaving early as a junior from Miami, Harris anchored the 2nd ranked pass defense in the country and was the least thrown at CB in college football for a reason. A former track star who's body and foot control are outstanding and instincts that can't be coached. With the release of veteran Brian Williams, the Atlanta Falcons are in dire need of a corner and Harris is a consensus 1st round pick in this 2011 draft and a great value at #27. - Beef, average-joe Falcon fan
