RE: William Moore
I had no idea he had that many ints! It is awesome to finally have an enforcer in the secondary

WillMo is the luckiest SOB in the world! Lol...Almost all of his INT's were gifts & who doesnt like gifts? He is always trying to punish the opposing player, thats what I like most about him. The guys say he is making less mistakes as the QB of the defense and we owe it all to Erik Coleman who is helping him learn the defense. I hope he continues to get better and remains injury free so we can get to the Superbowl!!

We have a lot of enforcers in our secondary now i think DRob can be classed as that you will be hard pressed to find a CB that can deliver bigger hits than him

Gifts? You still have to be in position, and actually make the play. I remember him baiting Alex Smith in the 9ers game into throwing him the ball.

Of course he can catch, he's in the NFL. And a gift is a ball that pretty much lands in ur hands, a badly thrown ball or one that somebody tips right to u. There isnt any real work involved in a gift and of his 5 INT's, Id say 3 were definitely gifts. Dont take it personal, its just my opinion.

RE: William Moore
Let's see...

William Moore interceptions...

Seahawks - Gift - Grimes tipped it to him
Rams - Gift - Bradford tossed it right to him
Eagles - Gift - Twice tipped ball lands right in his hands
49ers - Not a Gift - Read the QBs eyes and played the ball
Cardinals - Gift - Bounced off WRs hands/thrown high and lands in his hands

Not going to complain one bit or use it as a knock against him. You always want your players to be able to capitalize on mistakes and opportunities like that. It sucks when you have guys who DROP the gift interceptions, simply because they don't come around very often.

RE: William Moore
In theory isn't every INT a gift? Either it's a tipped pass or the QB threw it to him (either by bad read or inaccurate throw).

No. A gift is when the player making the interception isn't even really in position or involved and the ball just lands where he is at. Bradford makes a half-attempted shovel pass at no one and William Moore is just standing there, or the ball gets tipped up like in his other picks and he just happens to be there.

Grimes on the other hand is ridiculous in that he doesn't really get any gift INTs. He seems to always have to make a ridiculous diving/jump while in coverage to make his picks. Those aren't gifts, that's making plays. Generally if you are jumping a route, making an amazing acrobatic jump/leap/dive, baiting the throw, or following the QBs eyes to make the interception it isn't a gift.

RE: William Moore
I guess they are gifts, if he's not in position he won't touch the ball, he is playing his assignment.
