RE: Will the records fall?
Gruden, bless him, made sure to point out that CJ was getting his yards all year on a losing team that was behind and threw like crazy trying to catch up. Rice got his on a winning team. CJ just took all the garbage time yards teams gave him. This record is meaningless, because it was set in such an unspectacular manner. Media can jump his dick all they like... this was a shitty year for CJ and the lions, and the record does not change that. It should not be celebrated.
We would have given CJ 2000 yards last night alone, so long as it didn't affect our winning and the score. Our team gave them their freak show, because we had what we came for. Frankly, giving him the record actually helped us stay under the radar even more. Seems like the team, other than TG interviews, is almost trying to get people not to notice us. It's amazing how we, with the NFL's best record, are so overlooked. The parallels to the 1998 14-2 team are uncanny! Formerly SBC Falcon
