Will the records fall?

RE: Will the records fall?
We are not shy bout giving up yards on offense, we just don't give up many points, I think CJ could easily get 100+ yards on us but doubt that he will be adding to his TD total, also expect Stafford to throw a pick or two while forcing it to CJ.

I believe the opposite. It is harder to get running yards, especially against who AP will be facing.

got a feeling he really wants it.. and AP has and can run over any defense.. no matter how good they are

I agree. Also Houston just gave up 100+ yards to Vick Ballard.

RE: Will the records fall?
well of course CJ got the record. we're the best team to play if a record needs to be broken. I know, CJ's a good guy, helluva receiver, but I'd personally like to see our defense man up and say 'hell no, you're NOT getting that record against US'

instead, it's becoming well known that if there's a record to break, just make sure the team has a game against the Falcons, they won't be able to stop it. Heck, the head coach will even go on tv in the post game and congratulate you for it.

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

RE: Will the records fall?
I have no problem with the record being set against us because the Falcons won and the game and Ryan set or tied several records himself. He just won't get the media attention for it that CJ will.

RE: Will the records fall?
We won the game. Just like I told everyone else that was so excited about him breaking a record, I don't give two shits if they throw for a thousand yards, as long as we win the game.

Grats to a team that throws the ball on every down, I guess? CJ is a great football player and props to him, but the Lions are terrible and the record is meaningless in the big scheme of things.

good for CJ here is hoping he eclipses the 2K mark versus the Bears.....So technically he broke it against us but he wraps up his final tally against the Bears.....thank God we are not up against the Vikings next week.....lol

RE: Will the records fall?
Gruden, bless him, made sure to point out that CJ was getting his yards all year on a losing team that was behind and threw like crazy trying to catch up. Rice got his on a winning team. CJ just took all the garbage time yards teams gave him. This record is meaningless, because it was set in such an unspectacular manner. Media can jump his dick all they like... this was a shitty year for CJ and the lions, and the record does not change that. It should not be celebrated.

We would have given CJ 2000 yards last night alone, so long as it didn't affect our winning and the score. Our team gave them their freak show, because we had what we came for.

Frankly, giving him the record actually helped us stay under the radar even more. Seems like the team, other than TG interviews, is almost trying to get people not to notice us. It's amazing how we, with the NFL's best record, are so overlooked. The parallels to the 1998 14-2 team are uncanny!
