A cab driver in Dublin told me they don't really get snow in Ireland. Of course, it was July and 50 degrees there. Also, this is an interesting thread. I would really be surprised if they did not manage to have insurance for the whole year. The intention has to be curbing potential liability, and I would imagine you wouldn't limit that protection. It could be very true and would make sense, but I wouldn't understand an insurance issue that would require all members of the staff to drive on icy roads to the Branch.

RE: Why the team doesn't stay in the dorms
It was confirmed in a Schultz blog that the coaches stayed in the dorms on Sunday night. And D-Led reported in another piece that players were prepared to stay in the dorms, if necessary.
Of course, I am also aware that beginning a statement with "D-Led reported" means you take what follows with a huge grain of salt. Edit: Looks like this thread just became officially irrelevant... http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falcon...01490.html FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Flowery Branch Inn is open. Coach Mike Smith, some players, staff and coaches have been staying at the team's complex in the dormitories that are used during training camp. Smith has stayed there since Sunday, but didn't want to impose that the players stay there. He wanted the week to be as normal as possible. "I'm from Florida. I'm not going out in that stuff," Smith said. Only running back Antone Smith and an unnamed player didn't make it to practice Monday. Cornerback Dominique Franks did not make it Tuesday. |

Yeah I'm Irish and live in Dublin, we rarely get much snow, but the last two winters we've had alot and been very umprepared for it. Dublin Rebels #35 |
