Why Saturday and not Sunday?
Anyone know why the #1 seed has to play their game one day sooner than the #2 seed?

I would have thought the Falcons get the one extra day instead of the Bears!

Anyone know where that decision came from... some NFL rule or by media network market choice?

Besides the extra day in the bye week I have my my own selfish reason... I have to work Saturday night in a bar and will have to watch the game from a stage!

(The owner still wants music during the game and I love the gig... great room and great people!)

Which means even though I'm seeing the game somewhat (40 feet away), I'm not getting to enjoy it down by down!

Even though I will still DVR it as I normally would I will not be able to avoid knowing the score and outcome...

Normally I would simply avoid any media as to not know the outcome. Then watch the game at home in virtual real time. Not at all possible in a bar gig!

On top of that a road gig... which means my 2 hour drive home around 1:00 A.M. Sunday morning is going to be really long if this game doesn't have a happy ending!

Saturday Night is where its at! Allows the Fans to get really crazy because they get one extra day of rest than if played on Sunday

I guess I should just be glad that the Packers have even a shorter week

For some reason, I'm picturing you singing a song, and then just breaking out in the middle of it....

"Go, Go, GO-GO-GO-GO-GOOOOOOOOOO, SNELLING TOUCH DOWN!!!!!! WOOOT!!!!!"

.... and then just falling right back into the song you were singing. Tongue

That and we get the prime time game of the week or of the Playoffs, we have had 2 weeks, they need to play, 1 day shorter for GB and also remember they had to fly from Philly back to GB and now fly to ATL, not a lot of time to practice, all the traveling, while we get to rest and practice, while they are riding Air Tran. Tongue THey say Dom Capers ois putting in all these blitz packages and all, BULL, they may have had 2-3 days of good practice compared to we had the full time. It matters, and they can't add in much. Tongue

Even during preseason games! Been a fan a long time... I will not book Sunday gigs during the regular season! Big Grin
