When Mike Nolan's Defense Has 2 Weeks To Prepare
Got curious thinking about our defense and preparation so I got to digging and came up with this stuff.....

DC in Denver in 2009, DC in Miami 2010 and 2011, DC in Atlanta 2012

In his 4 years as the DC for those 3 teams Nolan defense's have accomplished this coming off a BYE and having 2 weeks of preparation:

- No QB has passed for multiple TD's in any game
- QB's are averaging 220 yards passing with 2 QB's throwing for less than 200 yards (1 QB threw for 201 yards) and 1 QB going over 300 yards
- No RB has rushed for multiple TD's in any game
- No RB has gone for over 100 yards rushing in any game
- Only 1 WR has posted a game of over 100 yards receiving
- No team has scored more than 2 offensive TD's in any given game
- Every team has averaged less than 4.0 YPC
- His defense has given up an average of just over 19 PPG in those contests (exactly what this defense is averaging which is top 5 caliber)

The numbers don't lie here and this is the reason I'm so confident the Falcons get over the playoff hump this season. Nolan and his scheming when given 2 weeks to prepare produce results, period. Now the only key is transferring that to the playoffs. It'll be the offense's job to keep up come playoff time and if they can the sky is the limit and the Lombardi trophy will be without a doubt within our grasp.
