What's The Hold Up?

What's The Hold Up?
We have Grimes, Nicholas, and Snelling all chilling with no contracts. That scares the crap out of me. Seriously.

Also, I'm curious about Manny Lawson. He struggled in the 3-4 but he's not really a 34 OLB. Could he play opposite Nicholas? Could that be some of the explosion we are looking for?

RE: What's The Hold Up?
Snelling can be replaced, Nicholas wants the $$$ and Grimes will get whatever he wants.

Snelling CAN be replaced easily. Say Le'Ron McClain three times in a row...LOL!!! Nicholas isn't good enoough for $$$. He can go the way of the Boley. As for Grimes, take Dunta Robinson's contract from him and say, "Here you go. You're my best friend now." J/K, only not.

Meh I kinda want somebody with speed to be honest. No backup fullback might be a problem though. lol too bad Grimes can't trade salaries with Dunta to make people feel better about each of them next year.

I definately want a speed guy, but I'm a guy who believes in having 3 RBs and one of them being a RB/FB hybrid. But yeah, most def on the speed. Question for me though is...what happens if Turner is hurt? Could said speed guy go the rest of the year with 20+ carries?

Yeah I believe in a RB/FB hybrid too, but what if speed back gets hurt? Look how it impacted the O. 5 RB would be ideal on the roster IMO

You know then...

I say we need Turner, Speed-guy, both-guy (possible replacement for Turner)

RE: What's The Hold Up?
What is the speed back gets hurt? We haven't had a speed back since Mike Vick.
Now, you can dog on me all you want, but it's the truth. Warrick Dunn was a speed guy, but he was too small to be effective with the offense we had.
Norwood is unreliable.

I'd love to see someone touch the ball and have the ability to get 10 yards doing a sweep. Our offense is capable of this, except we lack the speed.

So, I'd like to see a FAST guy back there that can CATCH the ball. Someone we can keep on the field for 2 downs. Snelling has been our goto guy on 3rd and he did some great things, however, he is a Turner-esque figure with bowling ball power and can actually catch the ball.

Eventually someone will replace Turner, but Snelling is a great guy to keep on the roster to be that guy for a year or two.

RE: What's The Hold Up?
should trade up for the bama running back... he's a speedy back right now but eventually will be michael turner 2.0.. then once he is a michael turner clone we can let turner go and draft his replacement
