Also, Woodson vs. Robinson is no contest.

Falcons have the advantage at RB.

Other than that I'd say it is fairly even.

Falcons also have a HOF TE that has wanted a chance to win a ring forever . Packers lost there TE

We have a premier pass rusher in Abe they have a great LB in AJ Hawk we have a stud in Lofton

There corners get edge and same with S position but it's close .

We also have a much better oline .

The wr position is close White and Jennings toss up Driver has edge over Jenkins rest are about equal

We have Babs to anchor DT they have Raji to anchor NT

It comes down to the Qb position

I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 .

As of right now, this team is in the playoffs and have strong chance of taking it like everybody else. Do you say things like this because you are afraid of being disappointed or is it....you prepare for the worst before a head of time? I Undertsand your point about keeping it real. And no way in the hell will I knock that. But as of right now the only thing we can do as fans is believe in the team. And that's not putting a wool over eyes and that's keeping it real also.

I don't worry about being disappointed. Last year I thought the team would win the Super Bowl and I was over it in 5 minutes when they didn't make the playoffs.

Football is entertainment. I have way too much stress in my life to stress football lol.

I've said since preseason that the WR depth on this team is substandard for a team with Championship aspirations. Then losing Norwood, the team's only shifty back, created another hole.

The Falcons have overcome it, but I don't see how there is even a debate that these holes exist.

The GB receiving unit as a whole is better, especially at getting YAC, I think Roddy and Tony are on par with the Jennings/Driver tandem. I also our Run game is trumps their slight advantage on receiving. We have plenty of talent to beat the Pack at home (and we have already). Conservative playcalling will be our demise if we lose, not a lack of talent. Using our talent the right way, is the issue.

This Falcons regime beat pretty much the same receiving core twice already once in their house, and once in ours. Our offense has proven it can move down the field on this D. We have no excuse to lose this game. Sorry, wasting HFA by being one and done, only proves trolls like Swift, Saints fans, and Trent Dilfer right. This is a new Falcons, we have to demand excellence instead of crossing our fingers for it every year.

Correct.

I think Roddy is better then Jennings slightly . Jennings is solid and there game very similar but I would take Roddy at this point .

Driver while consistent has always been there no2 target while Jenkins is our 3rd target . Jenkins could have seen Driver numbers if Tony G not around

James Jones nice player he can take advantage of our nickel corner but if Harry Douglas played in Packers system he be able to flourish a lil

Also add in we have Tony G as our TE

Packers have a edge at wr position no doubt but overall I will say we are more talented especially when you look at drastic difference at rb position

Well look...this is obviously a somewhat subjective conversation, and I'll step away from my usual modus operandi of posting a bunch of stats to try and prove my point and just say this.

When I watched the Falcons play the Packers, I watched a whole stable of WR for the Packers who are able to catch a short pass and turn it into a big gain. And they did it repeatedly.

They have at least 4 guys who can do that, and the Falcons have one, and possibly HD will turn back into that guy, but he isn't this year.

Sorry dude, if we don't go all the way, it is a failure. It's not the end of the world, and it doesn't mean we won't ever get another shot, and it doesn't mean we're not a good team. I absolutely believe we are a perennial contender, but we shouldn't for a second going to take for granted this opportunity. I will be pissed if we blow it. I'll be pissed, but I'll get over it.

This team has no excuse not to take advantage of HFA with our ability. We have a franchise QB, the best WR, TE, and RB in the conference. We have a top 10 defense, and we are playing a team that we have proved we can beat, next on our schedule. We are as healthy as any team in the league. There is nothing in our path that we can't overcome. Leave the excuses and acceptance of mediocrity back in the Rankin Smith era. This is not Leeman Bennett, Dan Reeves, or Jim Mora coaching this team. We need to take what's ours and not hope it's our turn.

I hope the coaching staff sees it like I do, as opposed to the "I'm just happy to be here crowd". I don't want to be the Eagles of the NFC South. Let the Panties play that role.

My thoughts Exactly.

There is no shame in loss. We are still rebuilding so losing as the #1 seed is not a big deal, and does not expose this team as the posers we think they are but afraid to say out loud.
#2
We have come this far. We are the best team in the NFC and there is no reason why we should not be in the Super Bowl. A loss is unacceptable.

You know how Patriot fans feel? #2
You know how Green Bay fans feel? #2
You know how Chicago fans feel? #2
You know how Seattle fans feel? #2
You know how Baltimore fans feel? #2

Falcon Fans are so used to losing that we have conditioned ourselves to prepare for the worst instead of expecting the best. You would think the last three years of winning would have prepared us for this.

Come on Jesus.. I don't see where anyone in this thread made a statement like #1. If the Falcons lose they're not posers, If the Falcons lose they're not frauds.

If the Falcons lose then all it means is that the Packers were the better team that day and we fell short of our goal.. Disappointing as hell? Yes! End of the world? Nope.
