RE: We miss Jenkins more than people think
ummm...he was injured the first week of camp @ FNL, suppose to only be out 4-6 weeks. I mean what the hell is taking him so long to recover? I would like to know, because it's been nearly 2 months.

RE: We miss Jenkins more than people think
People say he drops passes, HD is dropping passes. I hate to say it because he's one of my favorite players but it's the truth. HD needs to get back to the slot where his skills allow him to flourish. Jenkins needs to hurry up and get back healthy.

RE: We miss Jenkins more than people think
eh i kinda disagree. i dont think Jenkins changes things all that much.
having Jenkins on the field wont all of a sudden change the playcalling, and in my opinion the playcalling is the biggest problem. if we dont fix the plays that are called, it wont matter who we have playing WR. |

Yes we do miss him. Especially his blocking ability.

RE: We miss Jenkins more than people think
Yeah, it's his blocking ability we miss. Unfortunately, he's not the redzone threat he should be at his height, but he definitely helps with getting his other receivers the necessary blocks to get good YAC, as well as big runs for Snelling and Turner.

RE: We miss Jenkins more than people think
Jenkins needs to get back on the field simply because he improves our running game. Personally, I have always felt that a lot of those huge runs that Turner has made were aided by his down field blocking ability. He must have been a TE in a past life.
When it comes to catching a football...notsomuch. He makes plays from time to time and they usually come in clutch situations. He has a value to this team. But as far as being a true #2 threat? Again notsomuch. I like the idea of putting him at #2 because as somebody else said Harry in the slot is a NIGHTMARE match up for most LBs and nickel backs. It also sets Jenkins up to do what he does best and that's block. |

Well I agree and once Jenkins gets back you will see the coaches agree too he will be back at #2 with Douglas in the slot. I don't understand anybody that doesn't want the Falcons at full strength.Kind of like people dissing Grimes the guy can play and with Owens gives the Falcons depth to survive a long season. Hell I trust this coaching staff, over the years only Reeves and Bennett did I believe had a clue in how to get the most out of what they had to work with. And even with Reeves you had his obsession with TE's lol. |
